which system are you now working on?

i'm working on building one for myself with a shop close to me (i really wanna learn as much as i can to help problem solve and improve the system in the future)...it'll use a t3 turbonetics and i'm figuring just running 6psi for the time being...i was going to look into an e-manage system or...

i'm not worried about making serious power in the short term...just looking for the best control over boost/timing/ignition/fuel on a limited budget...we will only run 6psi at first then up it to 8 later on...eventually get to 10-12 with a standalone

to do the job properly it looks like timing, fuel, and ignition all need to be tuned properly...which means a standalone right now i'm looking at the haltech which runs around $1300...it will use the stock injectors, fuel pump, etc but replace the ecu with one that can be tuned for boost...

have you turbo'd your mp3?...i haven't had a single reliabilty probl with my pr5...and was considering getting the fm turbo kit down the line if i still want to keep it when the warranty expires doh!...my bad about the 200whp in a spec miata (i meant hp at the crank)...i type often type too...

one thing you can do is get into a race school (tracks and organizations won't let you drive a road course without any experience)...Skip Barber, SCCA, Nasa, etc all offer driving lessons that get you the experience...they require that you have an instructor in the car with you since it is wheel...
