I went to a local crafts store and bought a square piece of "foam insulation" about 4 inches thick. I cut a hole in it and mounted it to my sri. It insulates the sri from all that hot air coming from the turbo. Seems to work great and cost all of $5. d.

Would getting any of these engine management products help out alot if I am staying at stock boost, or would it even be neccessary? d.

I am new to the forum and I just saw your post. Your car is set up the way I am thinking of setting mine up. I am concerned about safety and reliability with the car. With your car set up with the unichip, do you feel it is reliable? Thanks! dale

Newbie needs help with the Unichip. I am wanting to add the Unichip and a freeflow exhaust to my 2003 MSP. I already have a cold air intake. Do I need to worry about the safety of these mods in terms of reliability? This car is my daily driver and I need it to last a LONG time! Thanks d.

I just read your sig here on line about your quarter mile times. I am new to the Mazdaspeed Protege and this forum. I am curious as to how you achieved those numbers with all that stock equipment. Thanks for your help! Dale
