I have one too. Absolutely love it. Aside from a CEL issue the week I put it in, I haven't had any problems so far (loose clamps). Had it for around 1000 miles now. I can notice my mileage has improved a little, it sounds awesome and my car definitely feels more responsive.

a design similar to the "rotary bulge" of the RX-8s hood would be cool too, or maybe a cutout of that same design so it could be used to dissipate some heat. Let's see some pics!

Just an idea: has anyone ever seen the hood on a Pugeot 206? I always liked that style, nothing over the top, but with vents to dissipate heat. Some design beneficial for a short ram intake would be worth looking at too.

I feel ya. I've got a big crack in mine too from something that happened this winter. I've been thinking about going to Autozone or someplace and getting some better looking mesh to replace it with.
