Head coming off!!! What to do?

1st Since you're taking your head out, you will have to at least get it resurface b4 putting it back in. 2nd How does taking advantage that your head is out already and spending an extra $30 on new piston and oil rings and making sure your car wont give you any headaches for years doesn't make...

Head coming off!!! What to do?

I highly recommend for you to do your piston and oil rings while your at it. did the same thing on my p5 2 weeks ago. I actually got the head rebuilt and before taking it out I did a compression test and it came out perfect, but when I put it back together it was still smoking. I heard that even...

Need Parts Recommendations - Fuel Injectors, Distributor Cap/Rotor and O2 Sensors

If you're close to or over 100k, I would highly recommend you to change the Timing belt, Timing belt tenssioners, and Water Pump. FD Wheels on a Protege5 with a Stock Suspension

I would suggest 205/45/16 too. I am running on 205/40/18 on my p5 with rx8 rims which they are 18x8 and the clearance I have between the fender and the rim is almost non so in my opinion, I think 225 would be too wide and would be rubbing a lot while cornering. So againg, I say 205/45/16 would...

    P5 Transmission Issue

Not really a noticeable difference. I still have plenty of fun on my P5 daily. The only slight change you might noticed is that on third gear if you redline it it will go up to 89-90 mph and 5th the most you'll get out of it is 122-123mph and that's at around 5300-5500 rpm

    P5 Transmission Issue

If your P5 does not have ABS, then the speed sensor will be mounted on the tranny. I had the same problem on mines. I just replaced it with a 626 tranny that I found at a local junkyard for $250 which if you ask me its the best way to go. I had no problems at all. All you would have to do is...

MP5 FSDE, got a different tranny... but will it work??

"The tranny i got. Theres two half circle cutouts at the bottom, but wont that let water inside? The inside of the bell housing is different as well. " If its like that I wouldn't try it. its better to be safe than sorry . I have a 2002 p5 and my tranny gave up on me and I couldn't find a cheap...
