This is because you can get the moon/bose package stand alone, or get the tech package in addition to the moon/bose. (available in both the Touring and GT trims)

The tech package is also available in the Touring trim, in addition to the moon/bose....

That salesman should go back through training, that's just in-excusable to not know enough about the options/packages in the CX-5 (or any Mazda). It isn't rocket science. Sorry for your troubles, but glad they resolved it.

Quick update that I don't think is worthy of a completely new post, but my CX-5 has been issued a VIN! :) Production scheduled for Friday (6/29), and still about 7 weeks until I take delivery, I can't wait!!

Not as foolish as you might think, there are dealers out there who are tattooing price stickers just because of how limited they are currently...and Mazda does a good job IMHO with pricing overall, especially with the CX-5.
