JVC HD Radio with harness and dashkit

Yeah, got to thinking about it, by the time I ship it and pay paypal fees I'm not going to get very much. It is worth it to me to keep it for the next project that comes along.

JVC HD Radio with harness and dashkit

Hey guys! I just sold the wife's P5. I dropped the stock headunit back in so I have the HD radio I installed for sale. The difference in the sound quality is amazing between the stock headunit and this unit. I am not sure if it is the HD radio quality or just the stock unit is that sorry. It...

    Is my so-called '02 P5 actually an '03?

I guess I have an 03.5 because I have no roof rack, 6-cd changer, no sun-roof and spare tire sub.

    Another P0171 (with a sprinkle of P0301)

Thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead. I had replaced the IM gasket when I repaired a butterfly valve issue. Turns out I didn't get a good enough seal either on the gasket or one of the injectors. Took everything apart, cleaned it, and put it back together. 10 miles or so and no CEL...

I replaced mine this weekend and noticed a smoother idle. Just because they are working doesn't mean they are working at 100% capacity.

    Urgent Help Needed- Engine Problem

I am very lucky. At first I feared a new engine and at that point I'd probably just have bought the wife a new car. I'm glad it didn't come to that though. With brake parts I was $310 for the day. I am going to take the car up to the shop to have them properly bleed the brakes, I can never seem...

    Urgent Help Needed- Engine Problem

Just a further update. Everything is back together and the car runs great. Much better than before. I think the combination of the new plugs and coil packs. Plus the VICS is now working correctly.

    Urgent Help Needed- Engine Problem

I spent some time with a magnet in the cylinder and found nothing. I agree that the screws are probably sitting inside the first cat.

    Urgent Help Needed- Engine Problem

Digging around trying to find information on the screws I came across a document that shows that some late 03's were also subject to a recall. My vin falls right before the recall range.

It's on the back of the valve cover, dead center on the motor.

    Urgent Help Needed- Engine Problem

Well, I wish I wasn't right, but I was. Before I pulled the intake I did a compression test and got 180psi across the board so it looks like I escaped any major damage other than the spark plug. As you can see from the picture it looks like the two screws came out on the one VICS flapper. I...

    Urgent Help Needed- Engine Problem

First thing I checked was the oil. It was less of a knock and more of a rattling. It was more like the sound you get when a nut is rattling around inside the dryer. Again, it was intermittent. I am really leaning towards something got into the cylinder, which would explain the beat up spark...
