Is it difficult to get the hood to lock down into the latch at all?
If the hood is straight and square .. then it's always possible the front bumper and grill aren't lined up properly, and are warping the hood.
Oh crap, Rob -- that sucks. :( .. Any pics of the damage?
Don't worry too much, though. Karma is a b****!
My MSP never had too much bad luck with stuff like that, somehow .. but it all seems to be catching up with my G. I've already had someone dent right over the gas tank (presumably with...
It isn't -- that's actually stock height! I'm gonna have to wait to move into a new house before I can lower my car at all .. because if I drop it now, I won't be able to make it up my own driveway, LOL. (doh)
This morning when I woke up, I had a belated moment (or few minutes' worth, actually) of silence for the death of my MSP. It was the one year anniversary of my accident on Tuesday .. but my mourning for my MSP was kinda put on the back burner when compared to B's accident.
To each their own, with lowering preferences.
But once you start fiddling with the suspension, you WILL eventually need to replace your stock struts. You should be able to get away with springs on the stock struts for awhile -- but sooner or later, they'll need to be replaced.
I had asked for 15% on my MSP .. but I'm pretty sure it was something like 10%. The one time it was metered when I was pulled over, it came up 7%. Either way, it was too dark.
I have 20% on my G35 now .. I think it's perfect. I know these pics aren't of tint on a MSP, but you can still get a...
Yes, it'll match. The AEM UEGO comes with different color faces, so you can match it to whatever color boost gauge you get.
I had a CF boost gauge, so I used the black face on the AEM. But if you get a white boost gauge (like the Ultra Lite or Phantom), then you can use the white face on the AEM.
Definitely get the AEM.
Here's a link to the AEM UEGO wideband ..

And links to good Autometer boost...
+1 for Autometer. I had a mechanical CF boost gauge on my MSP that ran perfectly. You can find them just about anywhere. Search Ebay. I'm pretty sure that's where I got mine, for something like $50.
IMO, a narrowband A/F gauge is useless. Either go wideband, or don't bother.
IMO, again, the...
Very sorry to hear .. and I definitely feel your pain, save that my bad experience was with a huge snow plow, not a tractor trailer. Same result in the end, though -- except that my MSP was damaged to the point of being totaled.
The driver of the snow plow that killed my MSP did stop, though ...
My brain is having a hard time processing those images, LOL. I've never seen that before, an 03 Spicy with an exterior 03.5 conversion .. I can't decide if I like it or not! It's just so weird to see!
I ran about 10psi on my MSP for awhile, and that was as far as I was ever willing to push it. I was on the stock block .. BUT I had essentially EVERY SINGLE supporting mod in existence. Even still, it was a risk -- but I knew that and was willing to deal with the consequences if/when the engine...
I've said it a thousand times, but I'll say it again -- unless you have snow tires on your car, or a damn good set of all seasons on your car for just an inch or two of snow and a good amount of experience to boot, YOU SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING IN SNOW.
I can't tell you how many threads I've seen...
I ran one, a very long time ago .. I was one of the first to use it on a MSP, actually.
Might help if you post a couple more detailed questions other than, "Who's running this?" .. Just a suggestion.
^^ What he said!
IMO, the wise move is to change out both your springs and struts at the same time. It'll save you a lot of time -- and a lot of money, if you can't do the installs yourself! I'd rather pay for one spring/strut simultaneous install, than two installs (one for the springs, one...
The only other suggestion I can think to make is to try calling around to some local wheel/tire places. When I was in a jam for winter wheels for my MSP, I called a bunch of shops -- and one place had a set of wheels perfect for my car, lying around in the back on clearance. I got 'em at a great...
