yes, the longer the focal length, the closer the background looks, but also, more blurry. That's why I said 400mm. it would have looked HAWT.

I like the green-ness! what you needed was a 70-200 f/2.8 or a 400 f/5.6 to fuzz up the trees.

tripod is a must. f/8 might be a little slow... I'd probably start out closer to f/4... depends on the background of your photo.

for what? a car? a human? a bowl of fruit?

three photos will take at least half a second (probably more like 1 second or even more than that depending on your shutter speed and camera model) to take unless you're shooting a 1d or a d3 series camera. If you're shooting even a slow moving subject, your photos are not going to line up...

I can tell you one thing, shooting in RAW is easier and less work. Also, if your subject is moving, you only have 1 choice.

Just took some pics of a visit from some high ups at Jaguar/Land Rover NA. I decided I would try the 50/1.4 to see how well it worked, and man it's awesome. Only complaint: tons of purple fringing, but I just desaturated purple and magenta and it cleared it right up. IMG_4738 by...

I use auto, but I pretty much always set it again in lightroom. I usually start at 5500 and 20 and go from there...

also, the canon 50mm f/1.4 is retardedly sharp at f/2. that is all.
