Removed and replaced the faulty centre display monitor. It took me around 50-60 minutes to do it by myself after watching some YouTube videos. No more ghost touch screen for me for a while.

If you had the "ghost touch" Mazda would of replaced the screen for free. Not sure what they would do with a replacment screen. If you have the old screen contact the dealer, make sure it's covered and put the old one back in. If you have the receipts you might be able to get reimbursement.

I purchased one a few years ago. Works great. Don't have the specific link but they are available on Ebay and Amazon for $30-35. Dealer charge is ridiculous.

I advise you to do what I did. Look online for a replacement. I found a screen on ebay, bought it, installed it myself and everything works like new. And a lot cheaper than dealer price, of course.

Yea I did read it. Just didn’t see what the fix was. I doubt a 2018 would be covered by any warranty would it I saw one on Amazon for $80 and am going to try it just to see if it fixes the issue.

Your touch screen developed what it is called "ghost touch". I've had similar issues with my car. I bought a used display from ebay, and installed it. No more troubles.

Sounds like ghost, I'd just disable touch and see if it stops.

Sounds like "Ghost touch" is likely your issue. IIRC, there's a way to disable the touch screen (cutting a wire or blocking a pin out 🤔) that will stop it but you loose touch ability.

How do I disable touch? I know I can disable the display but where is the touch disabled from
