    Mazda Miata Supercharge kit!!!

From which year (or engine) Miata was this removed? The throttle face on intake manifolds between the various engines have different bolt patterns potentially rendering the TB replacement coupling useless on certain cars. FYI, things arent exactly interchangeable between the 90-05 miatas and...

1.6 Miata Rebuild Need torque specs

Which torque specs? If you're rebuilding an engine you really should have some sort of manual on hand as there are many other things to be aware of besides torque specifications (i.e. crank free-play, bearing clearance, ring placement, etc). A Hanyes manual will set you back $30. If you f-up...

    2001 questions about exterior trim

The windshield moulding is integral to the windsheild itself as it wraps around the edges. The windshield must be removed to gain access to the painted area behind the moulding. The black strips around the boot are secured by a number of bolts and a touch of adhesive. Remove the "package...

What have you done to your Miata today?

Muff, use a nut with a pair of washers between it and the hub surface when draing in the studs. Throw a bit of grease on the washers for good measure. The studs will draw in much easier.

    header Question

That's a good point too. Such can be found to work with the 91-94 Mercury Capri (non-xr2) and the MX3 (RS?).

    Megasquirting the 01 Protege ES

Since you're using MSII, you can input calibrated values to match those of your stock CLT/IAT sensors. Leaving the IAT hanging is lazy. It's there for a reason and a fairly good one, especially if you want to properly tune the car. Ideally, intake air temp should be measured at each of the 4...

    header Question

If you're not looking for performance, the stocker might work for you. It is a tubular header in a 4-1 configuration. The collector is a bit small, but it shouldn't matter if you're not looking for performance. I have several lying around if you need one. Through a quick search, the only...

    header Question

The 1.8L header will NOT fit a 1.6. The 1.8 is slightly longer. Racing Beat makes a header for the 1.6 which is one of the best you'll find. However, it's a bit pricey. The routing between the 1.8 and 1.6 headers are nearly identical. Both tuck up closely to the transmission bellhousing.

    Miata auto idle adjuster?

Start by checking the condition of the "Room" fuse. If it's blown or missing, a terminal on the ECU will not be receiving power, resulting in a check engine light. Does everything else work inside the car (I.E. cabin lights, radio, etc.)?

I wasn't aware that my suspension could compress so much. Yes, 255 Hoosiers fit under a Miata just fine. :)

What have you done to your Miata today?

Like muff said, you're valve cover gasket is leaking. That's why the plug holes are full of oil. Replace the plugs and wires. Since they've been sitting in oil for a while, they're likely making a poor connection to each other therefore causing a misfire. From the way you describe things, it...

What have you done to your Miata today?

I recently rebuilt the exhaust to knock down the sound levels a touch. For years, I've been knocking at the door of exceeding the local (and national) limit. This should take the car down a few dB's to an acceptable level. Furthermore, I've been wanting to explore the realm of aerodynamics...
