ok... so I was driving home today... doing maybe about... 50 ( its been cold here so its icy so 50 is a safe speed)... anyways I started to go up a hill and there was a smack crash book.. my wheels locked up and then started to spin hard as the car shuttered and then... the knock of a rod.. ( im pretty sure that is what it is.. ) and there is a flashing check engine light... yes it can be repaired... but.. what the hell is with the flashing check engine light? is that the BAD check engine light... like worse then normal?

Its normally plugs, wires or coil packs that are going bad to cause that multi mis fire(generally flashing cel is a multi misfire code). Try pulling it and find out.

This.

Please clarify what you mean by locking/spinning wheels.

from what ive learned on ob2 cars is that a flashing cel means something went really bad lol. is the car in limp?

sounds like it was "bucking" and yes our cars can go into what they call "limp" mode...protects the engine, tranny from further damage

CONFIRMED.. engine blown due to valve train dailure causingoil failure.. rod snapped in number one...
