Is there something covering the front of the radiator?

Can you both please each take and post a picture from the front of (and inside) your lower grill?

Is there something covering the front of the radiator?

You are incorrect. I just went outside and confirmed on our (US) 2019 CX-5, the CX-5 most definitely DOES have active shutters behind the lower grill.

Signs of a Blown Head Gasket

How could that be? When a compression test is done, the valves are closed, and the stem/seals are blocked.

Rear hatch glass shattered suddenly for no reason

I understand your point, but at least it protected you from getting a large chunk of metal in your face!

Are you reading that correctly? Seems the opposite to me.

Ghost Touch screen replacement at dealer - anyone get charged?

Went to get an oil change today and told the service guy that we had the ghost touch issue and I showed him the class action card we got. He said that was no problem and they'd done a bunch already, but that Mazda wanted to charge a $50-100 co-charge. I thought the whole point was that this...

    Heated Seat Question

No, just 2 heaters, the third thing (rounded outline) is a temperature-sensing thermistor. I'm not sure where that's located, but it may be on the bottom cushion/element, in which case it would be dangerous to disconnect that bottom element! All in all, this is a very bad idea. It could...

    Heated Seat Question

From my wiring diagrams, it looks like the 2 panels are hard-wired in parallel. No separate connectors. Sorry.

    Apple CarPlay dongle question

He has a 2020 MY car. He already has the wired hub built in. He just needs the wireless dongle (as I said in the post above yours).

    Apple CarPlay dongle question

Yes. I added dongles I got off Amazon for both my wife and my daughter's 2019's. They are cheap, often less than $20, and small and just plug into the USB port under the armrest. Examples: Amazon.com : CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter

2017~2025 CX-5 Original Front Brakes, Outside Pads No Wear, Inside Finished?

Interesting... there's a TSB out for the CX-50's for this same type of issue (though the cause may be different)... https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11014796-0001.pdf

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Do not spray the silicone directly on the rubber seals. The propellant can attack the rubber. Instead, spray it onto a rag and let the propellant flash off, then wipe the seals with the rag. For a little while, but the silicone gets absorbed into the rubber quite quickly. Note: I use the...

Broken moon roof switch (2014 CX-5)

Mine is a 2014 NA car (for comparison), but it doesn't have that connector. I *DO* have the homelink/dimming mirror though, and that is wired separately, so I doubt your connector is that.

    Dealer won't use synthetic oil - 2022 CX-5 Turbo

Data point: I took my (CX-50) turbo into the dealer for oil change/service this morning and asked the Service Advisor the syn/conventional question... he said their 5W30 oil was conventional and that's what they use (and were told to use) for the turbos. We all (there were a couple of other...
