Show your CX-5 Winter Wheel & Tire Setup. 16" Wheels?

Same. as going to buy some steel wheels from Tirerack. They wanted $79 each for new 17's. For an extra $80 I bought a set of black rims that they were trying to get rid of. Checked after I bought them and they had 2 left. So I got the last complete set.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I clean my engine bay every year on all my cars. I use nothing more then water and some brushes. Might take a bit longer, but I enjoy it. Haven't done Betty the Mazda yet, but soon.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

It is first and foremost a discussion forum, and I am not telling anyone "what to do". Nor did I say it was BAD. I said overkill. And I stand by that. ;)

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I am, hands down, the first person to give someone a hard time when I hear "I like to baby my car..."...I have a friend that literally tries to keep his RPMs under 2K...seriously... The first one to tell anyone who thinks a CX5 is 'slow', that they aren't driving it right if they aren't...

Turbo and NA - Let's love them both

Are you thinking of me? I posted a snippet (post #25) from the online manual for a 22. IME the "Detent" is the kick down and agree it only triggers the transmission to downshift. Just like every other 4 cylinder I've owned.

Turbo and NA - Let's love them both

That sounds to me like you are saying there is no kickdown. Happy to be wrong...we can move on. lol

Turbo and NA - Let's love them both

That is KICKDOWN. From the 2022 CX5 Manual. So unless somethings changed...since 2022, Y'all have kickdown.

Turbo and NA - Let's love them both

My Volvo also has no switch but still supports Kickdown. It knows when you kick it past full throttle as explained in the manual.

Turbo and NA - Let's love them both

Right on Lazy. PS and for the record, my 330 HP Volvo sedan has a kickdown feature too, though it is now electronic (no switch). I'm assuming your turbo Mazdas still have it, as well. Most 4 cylinder cars do. Those of you unfamiliar...should try it out. :D

Turbo and NA - Let's love them both

People like to hate on the NA because it's not quick. These are probably the same people that like to "baby " their car. There's a reason my car has a kickdown switch on the FLOOR under the gas pedal. Of course my supercharged 330 HP sedan is WAY faster...but my NA Mazda can still be fun to...

Installed Fortin Remote Start on 2016 CX-5 DIY

A someone that has been using 2 fobs since 2016...I can tell you: it's really not the big of a deal. The Remote start fob is about the size of a quarter. At least mine is.

Mazda selling more cars then ever even without an EV

I saw this posted somewhere else and the anti-EV crowd were touting it as "See! EVs aren't all that! Mazdas doing great without one"...as if the reason they were doing well is because they don't have an EV. Ridiculous.

    Disable daytime running lights?

Totally get running folding mirrors only when you need to fold them. But not because they might break. Simply because you can. I rarely NEED mine to fold (on my other car). Not using a feature, or turning one off because of failure concerns is what I have an issue with. Use your car. Why save...

    Disable daytime running lights?

"I'm not going to use this feature because I don't want the thing to break"... Headlight cooling fan death isn't so common that you need to turn all this off. Girl I work with won't use her folding mirrors on her BMW... "I'm afraid they might break." Sooo, turn it off if one breaks then? :D

Damn Goblins! (I assume you mean Ghost Touches...I think that was an issue over a few years, no?)
