Show your CX-5 Winter Wheel & Tire Setup. 16" Wheels?

We run some Bridgestone Blizzak DMv2's on oem 17" on our 2016.5 cx5. They've done very well and this will be the 9th winter (and likely the last) on them.

On some mazda3's we run general altimax arctic12 with great results as well. 16" Vision Cross wheels from Discount Tire on one and 16" Drag something on the other. (Those are "studdable" but not needed or wanted around here)

It just makes me smile the level of traction available from dedicated winter tires in winter conditions.

We ‘only’ got 8 winters out of our 17” Blizzaks. Got a new set this spring on clearance for ~$60 off per tire. The CX-5 is an absolute tank in the snow with them.

Continental VikingContact 7 225/60-18 on 18x8.0 ET45 wheel.

Next set will be same size, but VikingContact 8...

My '22 CX-5's winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzak WS-90) are mounted on the 17" OEM wheels from my previous '20 CX-5 (different from the '22 OEM). I still had those wheels on hand as result of the '20 being totalled while its own winter tires were mounted.

No pics at the moment, so it would have to wait until about November. Dealing with temperatures approaching 100ºF here in southern Ontario (Canada) right now. 😁

I'm closer to central ontario. The temps we got yesterday were nuts, especially places that were inland from lakes/bays.

Same. as going to buy some steel wheels from Tirerack. They wanted $79 each for new 17's. For an extra $80 I bought a set of black rims that they were trying to get rid of. Checked after I bought them and they had 2 left. So I got the last complete set.

What's the most narrow section tire you guys have ran, and did it perform well?

Anyone on here corners their CX-5 hard with a 60,65 or even 70 aspect ratio?
