    Oil squirter delete?

Do not delete your oil squirters. They are there to cool the pistons and lubricate the wrist pins. Kind of important, especially on a turbo engine. You can get the AWR pan or Speed circuit sells a proper baffle for the stock pan. Your oil pump link did not work but I think you're referring to...

    Turbo Replacement

No, the CX turbo has a different size turbine wheel and will not fit the garrett housing. I'm not sure what you mean by the flipping the flange... it's positioned the same as stock. The downpipe bolt hole spacing is what looks different to me.

    Turbo Replacement

Read the specs for this T25 turbine housing, they list all the different garrett turbos that fit: https://www.turbokits.com/Turbo_Chargers/Garrett/Turbine_Housings/T25_Flanged_Internally_Gated_Turbine_Housing/5532/#galleria ATP made a special stainless steel housing that fits the larger 60mm...

    Turbo Replacement

To me, it looks like the bolt holes for the down-pipe are positioned differently. Here's what the stock turbine housing looks like:

How much boost can the stock pistons handle?

It really depends like 323 said.. So many variables with age, use and unknown maintenance history of the engine means you take a chance when increasing power. That being said, the stock engine in good mechanical condition can handle 200whp, for how long though would not be certain. Have to...

How much boost can the stock pistons handle?

You have to buy pistons, sorry. Stock pistons and rods use tapered pins. Forged rods require floating pins which come with new forged pistons.

    MSP build, advice welcomed too

In that case, grab your self some stock compression 9:1 forged pistons with 0.020" overbore. The wiseco's should be readily available. I'm stoked to see how your build turns out!

What down-pipe is on the turbo currently?

    MSP build, advice welcomed too

Awesome! sounds like you know what you're doing. Engine bay looks good. The haltech elite is fantastic, be careful when setting up the crank trigger though. Select the FSZE trigger setting. If you select FSDE, the tooth profile will be incorrect. Look into Injector Dynamics, they make great...

Have you addressed the fuel system, engine management and turbo system yet?

    MSP build, advice welcomed too

Nice MSP, looks clean! The major weak point in these engines is the pencil thin connecting rods. Crankshaft is forged and strong. You are correct about the oil system. Here's a thread about it and what a lot of people did (including myself) to remedy the issue...

Fresh Sweet Donuts Everywhere! (work log)

Those bushings work great, my shifter and linkage are identical and have held up for many miles. Always great pictures in your posts, what sort of camera do you use?

    Klop’s Mazdaspeed

I have Eibach springs on my MSP and the ride height is perfect for street driving. Comfortable enough on trips too. Check my build thread for pics. Unfortunately the Tokico's are discontinued now.

    Turbo oil return question

Drill and tap the main bearing support plate in the same spot where the msp return fitting would be. You can use a 90 degree fitting, 1/2 npt to 5/8 hose barb. My buddies turbo P5 was same way and it worked fine.

    bwalt's MSP build log

It was a rewarding feeling to have the car perform so well after all these years and countless hours spent making everything work. Fuel mileage has been exceptional as well averaging about 600km per tank!

    bwalt's MSP build log

With racing being canceled this year thanks to the 'covid response' I had to get some fun in before the weather turns. Got some new tires and took the MSP on it's longest trip yet.. Drove a little over 1400 kilometres past Wells Gray Park and back. I was hoping to see some epic mountain views...
