    AEM Fuel / Ignition controller

OK, did not know that. I may have to switch it and try E-manage or this AEM if my Unichip tuning does not work out.

    AEM Fuel / Ignition controller

Neither Unichip, nor this AEM will not interfere with OBD2 testing. However, Unichip is not end user programmable (unless your an authorized unichip tuner) and the AEM is. This AEM unit would be considered a piggyback in that it still uses the stock computer. I'm not sure about E-Manage. Does...

    AEM Fuel / Ignition controller

Yeah, that's what I figured. I guess that kind of sucks, but I would not expect timing advancement capabilities at that price. At least you can retard timing for higher boost etc. It does have adjustable injector pulse width though and it has a built in voltage clamp for the MAF, so those are...

    AEM Fuel / Ignition controller

If you look at that info, it has already been tested and validated for the Mazda 3. Really, I'm just interested in using it on an MSP. However, I doubt that the computer system is much different. I wonder if they were testing it on the 2.0l or the 2.3l?

    AEM Fuel / Ignition controller

It seems AEM has recently developed a new piggyback engine management system that is programmable by the end-user. Not sure if anyone has used it on a protege yet, but it looks like it may be a viable option for those of us that need to maintain the OBD2 system so that our cars can pass...

Need help, changing turbo in a 2003 protege

#1 piece of advice, after you install the turbo, DO NOT FORGET TO PRIME THE SYSTEM WITH OIL BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE! Disconnect all of your coil packs and turn the engine over until the oil light turns off, If you don't, then you'll toast that brand new turbo. Here you go. Check out post...

help... has this happend to you?

Clutch chatter. Your clutch is most likely toast. Replace the clutch and don't forget to machine or replace flywheel.

What have you done to your MSP today?

Shortest possible line to the WGA. A lot of other turbos come already setup like this.

What have you done to your MSP today?

Oh, your just talking about the actuator. Thought you meant that they were making you a custom internal wastegate. I've seen the Forge WGAs on other cars, they are nice.

Damn, if you don't mind me asking, how much is that gonna run you? So, no way to use a boost controller? I wanna see some pics when you get it...

External wastegate heh? Cool, what turbo are you gonna use though? Are you having the mani chopped & welded for the external setup?

    Fuel Injectors

Thats what I'm saying. I know a few guys with WRXs that replaced the blue 440s with the JDM STI 560 pink injectors. They were a direct swap, tuning was the only thing needed. Makes sense that they would work to replace the blue 440's (since they are the same stock WRX injectors that the WRX...

    WTB: VICS or VTCS solenoid

Well, I have 3 of those solenoids off of the 626 motor. 2 are different part #s and 1 has the slide tab (that has the part # on it) broken off. So, not sure if any would work the same or not. I'll send you all 3 if you still want to try them...
