    Thinking about a 2012 5

Really? I think the 6-speed auto is one of the more annoying features of the '11 Kia Forte. I think our 5-speed auto is pretty nice, except that I have a bit of trouble convincing it to really do what I want it to do (example, I use manual-First so I can get off the gas and back on it gently...

How much damage did she do to my Mazda 5?? SIGH

How strange. Mine shows no intention of moving anywhere when the E-brake is applied - nor, for that matter, has anything else I've owned that had a functional E-brake. Who even carries parts for something brand-new like this? Last time I checked AutoZone.com, I couldn't find ANYTHING for a...

    Adding USB port?

That Bluetooth receiver looks possibly handy for a home stereo, though for that it'd be better to have RCA plugs. I can't make heads or tails out of the thingys that say they're good for connecting an iPod, since I've never owned or used an iPod. This doodad is supposed to let you use...

    Adding USB port?

WOW that USB adapter thing is expensive!!!! (eek) I don't speak Germanish, but I'm told Euros are comparable in value to US dollars .... Still haven't figured out how that AUX adapter is supposed to work ... but hey, half of me thinks it's phantzy just to have tunes in the car, period! I...

    Adding USB port?

Starting to think along those lines, actually, and yes, the steering wheel doodad does change tracks. Still have yet to figure out how my silly track selection thing works on the phone (and why sometimes it starts playing ringtones and/or plays one track over and over), but that's sort of...

    Tire Advice: Winter Approaches

Agreed about flexiness. Probably less noticable in a 55-series? Weirdly, there was a different Avid Touring, the TRZ I think, that someone was saying was awful in snow. Especially odd considering that its tread pattern looks identical to the old Avid S/T, which was rather decent.

    Tire Advice: Winter Approaches

If your concept is snow-friendly all seaons, I noticed the Yoko Avid Touring S is availble in 205/55/16. We've been having very decent luck with those in 195/70/14 on our Cavalier.

    Hello 2012+ Mazda5 Owners!

Brake dust after 300 miles? How hard is Mrs. TOTCG driving that thing, anyway? :p

    Adding USB port?

I don't know what those acronyms mean, but I can indeed stream music from my Motorola Tundra flip phone via Bluetooth. Had to transfer all my pictures to the computer in order to hold just a few tracks of music (guess a micro-SD card would help with that), but it does work. I had assumed that...

    Adding USB port?

Hi all, I have no idea what's actually involved in it, but one concept I've loved about an awful lot of aftermarket stereos these days is the handy USB port for just plugging in your USB thumb drive loaded with .mp3 files. So, while I'm playing catch-up to figure out how to use all the gadgets...

    Hello 2012+ Mazda5 Owners!

Is that the same thing as the window sticker? If so, I'll have a look. Ours was nearing 1100 miles last I checked ....

    Keys and wheels ....

Yeah, I figure if I bug the Tire Rack for a direct fit, they'll come up with something hubcentric. Went through that discussion with a fellow Ford fan who wanted hubcentric spacers when putting high-offset wheels on a zero-offset vehicle. Wheels I was using at the time were not only not...

    New owner greetings.

Oh, so the headlight adjuster was just for HID cars? (yippy) for your new Five! I'll try to get Larry to join here and tell you it'll only end in tears.

    Hello 2012+ Mazda5 Owners!

Aren't new vehicles likely to have some miles on them if they happened to be driven there from another dealer? I didn't ask about what they'd done with this car previously, but it was physically inside the showroom when we first saw it. Got noises about "not a lot of markup" when we talked...

Roof Rack For The Mazda5 Thread

Any idea where these roof rails are from? Gallery pic from MPVclub.com ... the info said the vehicle was "pimped" by a Dr. Somethingorother in Switzerland, but IMO these rails should have come stock!

    Keys and wheels ....

Coming through southern Michigan anytime soon? :) I still haven't gotten around to calling the Tire Rack for a good price on brand-new steelies (when I asked for some for a '90 Cutlass a few years ago, they quoted me like $35/each, which isn't that bad). I'm gathering that the question of...

    Keys and wheels ....

Mine came with only two keys, but my wife will be keeping one with her. I always make extra keys for any car I'm driving, since it's inevitable that one set of keys will get locked in the car from time to time. What exactly is a "valet key", anyway? A week ago, if someone had told me that a...

Roof Rack For The Mazda5 Thread

Okay ... I think I see. So what's needed to just strap stuff up top like with a normal station wagon roof rack? Would that be one of these "cargo baskets"? My only point of reference is the factory rack on my old Colony Park, and I used to carry stuff up there on occasion without any...
