Cost of Mazda Windshield with Heads Up Display?

Man...talk about expensive. My plain Jane windshield is like $300.

Blizzak WS-90 thoughts after 3 seasons

I opted to try the Continental Viking Contact 7 after reading reviews. Might not last quite as long as the Michelins, but people seemed to think they worked very well and retained good dry road handling.

Well it is a crossover at the end of the day. It may be the fun crossover to drive, but it's still a crossover. Enjoy the S60!

    Car insurance higher

Oh but I do. And they are all the same out here. Equally screwing me. It all started with these hail storms in 2018 where the insurance companies paid out something like $2.2B in claims, and ever since then they really started jacking the rates on everyone. More recently it seems to be around...

    Car insurance higher

Mine went up $20/month on my last renewal! It's been doing this like every year since 2018 (of varying amounts). I've exhausted any tricks to lower it at this stage with $1000 deductibles and other crap. I've shopped the other guys and it's the same story. Just sucks to live in Denver as a 30's...

2023 CX-5 Wireless Qi Charging Pad cooking the phone instead of charging

Only time I ever tried a wireless charging pad the thing almost caught on fire. I've never used one since. Basically started smelling burning electronics, glad I was there to quickly unplug it.

Blizzak WS-90 thoughts after 3 seasons

Good point, thanks. Probably down to the Michelins or Continentals then for me.

Anyone's CX-5 just can't stay out of the body shop?

My CX-5 has lots of..."character". I decided I no longer cared. EDIT: Yeah basically I have a very narrow garage and have done plenty of slight scrapes myself:

Another to add to the list, anyone have experience with Continental Viking Contact 7's?

Blizzak WS-90 thoughts after 3 seasons

Thanks for the reply! I saw Discount Tire running a $110 off Michelin promotion, so thought about going down that path. The Nokian tires I found around here were a bit more than I wanted to pay to be honest at closer to $260/tire for 225/65R17. Contrast that to $160/tire for WS90's or DM-V2's...

    ATF...Change or not?

Man, lifetime fluids. I asked MazdaUSA what "lifetime" means and they were vague and dodged the question. So you should assume lifetime means the extent of the powertrain warranty at which point any problems after that are your problems. So I definitely believe in changing transmission fluid. I...

Blizzak WS-90 thoughts after 3 seasons

My other thought due to the periods of dry weather between storms was looking at the Michelin X-Ice Snow. Anyone tried these yet? I also noticed how much more tires cost these days vs the last time I bought snow tires.

Blizzak WS-90 thoughts after 3 seasons

Hey all, so getting ready to purchase a new set of winter tires in 225/65/R17 for my 2014 CX-5 Touring probably towards the end of this month. I previously had on the Blizzak WS-90 and here are my thoughts after 3 seasons. With 3 seasons, they lasted longer than my previous WS-80's did which...

CX-5 Hit a bear and the bear won

Preach it. Today's cars are built to take the damage so you and I don't have to take it. Sure we get a little beat up/sore, but not nearly as bad as in the old cars.

    2013~2016 CX-5 HVAC stopped blowing

Well once again yesterday, the HVAC system was working just fine, and to be clear all fan speed settings 0 through 4 worked fine. Seriously no idea what happened Tuesday then where it just went completely out.

    2013~2016 CX-5 HVAC stopped blowing

Well here's an interesting one for you. I had to drive somewhere today and miraculously the system was blowing again. AC no problem. So now I have no idea what happened yesterday. I guess I'll read up on this thread you linked about it working intermittently.

    2013~2016 CX-5 HVAC stopped blowing

So today we were driving when all of a sudden the AC stopped blowing. I then tried the heat just out of curiosity and nothing. So I am thinking the blower motor went out? I really don't know, but since it wasn't specific to AC, figured that made the most sense? Anyone have to replace that on...
