those are user rep ratings try deleting a pm to see if that updates your total properly

Check the "Messages: xxx" box at the top right of the message list and then choose "Mark as read" from the pulldown menu in the lower right of the PM list. Click "Go" and it will mark all messages as read and reset your totals correctly

that's messed, i think the pm count just needs to be recalculated.
