    2007~2015 Smart key partially inoperative

There’s another thread with this issue but for 2020/2021 models. There’s a “power saving” mode that disable the smart key features but allows the unlock/lock buttons to work. Maybe the 2009 has a similar feature that got triggered?

Key Fob (2020 CX-9) Not Working

Damn! Wish I would have seen this thread 2 days ago. Had this exact issue and went in for service this morning. The fob worked fine and suddenly stopped working. We’re not sure why it went into power saving mode but using the note procedure fixed it.

DRSS Issue? (Distance Recognition Support System)

That’s what I was wondering - is it a change for 2021? My 2018 6 ADD and instrument cluster showed the car icon. I’m going to call service this week and see what’s up. Maybe it’s a simple setting I missed ... perhaps something that they overlooked when prepping the car like a missed fuse or...

DRSS Issue? (Distance Recognition Support System)

We’ve had our 2021 CX-9 Grand Touring for almost 2 weeks. Loving it. So far the only possible issue is the DRSS. My last car was a 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve which also had the DRSS. I’m assuming the systems would be similar which the CX-9 owner’s manual suggests but I wanna make sure...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

New CX-9 owner this week. Lease was ending on my ‘18 Mazda 6 and we needed something with more room. Got an excellent lease deal. Only paid first month up front. $421 monthly for a *33* month lease term.

Wireless Apple CarPlay Coming to Canadian 2021

Interesting .... The only US model to get wireless CarPlay is the 6 and it retains the current smaller screens. You would think the newer infotainment in the 3 and CX-30 (and now the CX-9) would get wireless CP. I wonder what the reasoning is behind pairing the wireless feature to the older...

Poll CX-9 Folding Cargo Tray: OEM vs Husky vs ?

Thanks to everyone that posted in this thread. I currently drive a 6 GT Reserve and will be trading in for a CX-9. I’ve been researching mats for the rear cargo area and struck gold with this thread. This has been extremely helpful. Thank you!

My car was peppered with brown paint.

Try clay bar. My neighbor was spray painting something in his driveway. The one day I leave the garage doors open . . . The wind blew the overspray onto my car. (bang)(gah)(argh) Clay bar is awesome. Took some elbow grease but it lifted the spray paint right off. I'm sure it helped that...

    2009 Mazda6 Navigation/GPS DVD Update

BB, thanks for the update. Still no update on my end. I saw that the 2008.1 was the newest version. I'm trying to find out if there are fall releases. If so I was going to wait but so far no one can tell me . . . When you get your new DVD, could I ask you to check something on it? :) I'm...

    My 2009 Mazda6 2.5 has 11-15 mpg city. Should I worry?

Few misc thoughts . . . I've had my 09 6 for about 3 months now. 7,000 miles. It's a 2.5L 6MT. I started off with an avg city/hwy of 24/30. It's now around 27/32. But I do a lot of "rural" and suburban driving. Only about 10% stop and go city driving. Most newer engines are built with...

    2009 Mazda 6 DVD Player

For other makes, it typically requires an interface that plugs into the unit and an aftermarket DVD player can then be tapped in as an "AUX" device. I've seen and read about dozens of mods to Honda NAVI but none of them were able to use the factory NAVI DVD player.

    2009 Mazda6 Navigation/GPS DVD Update

Thanks for the info. I've been getting all sorts of conflicting info. I emailed customer service via the Mazda NAVI site here: http://www.mazdanavigation.com/ The site says the latest available version is 2008.1 which is newer than the one I have in my 2 month old 2009 6. Their response...

    Keyless remote problems

I had issues for the first week but it seems it was the way I was using it. Be careful not to tap the start button multiple times in succession or push and hold the button for any length of time. The tech explained what that did. I believe there was a mention about it in the owner's manual...

    2009 CX-9 NAV DVD Update

The Honda / NAVTEQ / Alpine DVDs are typically 1 - 2 years out of date and updates are painfully slow, also. I can understand that many of the new sub-division / neighborhoods roads that pop up daily might not be on there but I find it frustrating that major highway changes take a year or two...
