    Gap between A-Pillar and dash

Yeah I mean you have to look for it to notice but I'm a little OCD when it comes to fitment and symmetry. I know that tight fitting can mean squeaking (RDX had a button panel that would rattle and I had to stuff some fiber mat on the contact point to stop it) but I would have liked it to be at...

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

I have an RDX since 2013 and it pretty much lives on 87 octane. For this car Acura "RECOMENDS" premium but after a little digging by myself (same engine code as last gen Accord, basically same HP and same TQ (+/- 2hp or tq) I figured the map wasn't all that much different. Tested the car with...

    Gap between A-Pillar and dash

I have about 1/4 inch on driver side and 1/16th on passenger. It's not noisier at all and all the panels other than the a-pillar seem to be aligned. Feels like the A-pillar is a little short.

    Gap between A-Pillar and dash

So I just noticed that my car has a gap at the bottom of the A-pillar on driver side vs almost none on passenger side. Anyone else have this? You really can't see it unless you open the door and look but I just noticed it. Wonder if the dealer would remedy this?

The ole gal... Bought her new in 2006 with 6 miles. Traded in for CX-5 just as it turned 120,000. Wife's car

Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go

Definitely works as advertised. It will do stop but if it's longer than 3 seconds or so the system resets and you have to intervene to get it going again.

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

Well that Jeep looks like a Hemi so it's 5.7L V8 with 20mpg hwy soooo yeah not the same.

    Q's on 2017 CX-5

Maybe the heat cooks off some residue? I do notice it's less sticky now than when I first got it a month ago. Also could be that a bunch of dust has stuck to the sticky parts and thus no longer sticky.

So, umm, the car hunt, I dunno

Well to throw something else into the mix the new VW Tiguan is coming out very soon and that has a 6 year bumper to bumper warranty I believe. Also can come with optional 3rd row emergency seats :)

    2013~2016 CX-5 Balance Shaft Delete

I think that would be the correct way to spin it. Just like if you put 70lbs wheels on a car and dyno it vs 35lb wheels dyno would extrapolate a lower HP number for the heavier wheels.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I'll take a look. I just passed a cx-9 and they have drl without headlights!

    2017 DRL/signal light emulation

Managed to do the process myself at home. Not too hard. Now I just have to figure out which wire is the drl only and hook it up to acc.

    2017 lane keep assist

Ok just checking. The CR-V I test drove did tug quite a bit more and earlier than the CX-5. The CX-5 only lightly correct when you are almost on top of the line.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Turned off the DRL. Will try to wire ACC to the led accent only next!

    2017 lane keep assist

For the 2017 people, how well does your lane keep assist work? It seems to work a better for me on the passenger side than on the driver side. Also it's pretty weak at the whole lane keep function.

    2013~2016 CX-5 Balance Shaft Delete

I went from a 17lbs flywheel to a 8lbs flywheel on the RX-7 and the engine response was way better, however my MPG was no different. We are talking a 8lbs drop here!

    2016 CX5 better "driving machine" over 2017

I have driven both 2 times from different dealers and there are pluses and minuses to both cars. However the driving department the CX-5 feels (maybe not on paper at the edges, but on normal road driving) much better. I did like the power of the boosted engine, but part of driving is how it...
