QUESTIONS so i went to autozone today and got my copper plugs and the springs. Got a few questions: 1- Which spring to use? The thread says the "biggest" but is that the longest or the one with the biggest spring diameter, etc?--i want to know fore sure because the tension in these springs is...

I don't believe the boost gauge itself is illegal in stock class (on several cars ie WRX it is actually a factory option). I say this because it does not at all enhance performance. But the spring would definitely be illegal so i would have to remove it before events.

ahh i see. Well it sounds like a good idea and everything, but i suppose then i couldn't technically be in D-stock anymore for autox..... or is it easy enough to remove and put on that i could just take it off before an event?

Honestly, if you are just starting out, i would run on street tires. (read apexlater's sticky thread about race tires at the beginning of this forum--tons of good info there). It is important to learn your car and improve your skills as a driver and the best way to do that is on street tires...

Hey, keep looking for race tires--i didn't think i could afford them either. But i waited around till i found the right set of rims ($140 for the set) and then called this guy up in Wisconsin who deals with nothing but used race tires and ended up getting some "lightly used" hoosier A6's for $60...
