Can anyone explain to me where the idle air control valve/adjustment screw is located? I tried looking for it last night, but I don't know what I'm looking for.. hehe..

Unfortunately, I only have the money to get either the pipes or the intercooler... and while the pipes would make my engine bay look pretty tite, I think I'd rather go with the intercooler for the performance value... Would the SMIC still work well with the OEM pipes?

So where exactly is this idle screw and how do I adjust it? Which way and how much do I turn it to raise up the idle rpms to 850?

Subscribing... Damn, I hope this thing is for real... The only dealer I have by my house doesn't make a big deal out of little mods like intake and crap... but they never know ANYTHING about these flashes.. I had to drive 3.5 hours down to Portland (from Seattle) to get my first (sucky) flash...

Actually, the MSP got 3rd in that article... I have it at home. I was so pissed because if you look closely at the point totals, the MSP lost to the SVT Focus because the Focus got higher ratings in the looks/appearance category... SUCH BS!! Edged out the MSP by like a point or two.

Unfortunately, I've found that it really depends on the dealership.... I live in Seattle and all 3 mazda dealers that I called here were totally clueless when I told them I wanted the latest ECU flash. They all just said, "your car should already be programmed with the latest ECU flashes."...

I've always liked the MSP's stock lights... they light up the road really well. The whiter bulbs definitely look nicer from the outside, but for visibility, I think the MSP lights are great. Despite this, though, I still want whiter bulbs... hehe... What can I say? I'm a sucker for looks...

I have the AT mount in the front only... And even that can, at times, be harsh at idle. I can't imagine how bad it'd be to have MT mounts in the front AND back. I think the costs would outweigh the benefits.

I think you should probably browse the threads and run a search on posts that have already been made before asking questions like this. There are a crapload of threads answering this question... not to mention a ton of differing opinions.... but my two cents are to start with air flow mods...

Both cars just feel different in the twisties... The MSP feels quick and light on it's toes while the EVO feels rock solid and more sure-footed, I think. I love my MSP's handling, but overall, I still think the EVO has better response.... plus the EVO's 2.1 turns (lock-to-lock) helps it be...
