    Tire caps (& Nitrogen)

Save money and don't worry about it. I change around 12 tyres a day in my workshop, and the tyre workshop across the road changes maybe 40 or more. Neither of us is using nitrogen and car drives just as fine. No sensor problems.

    Switching 19" wheels/tires for 17" on new 2016.5 GT @Dealer - Any mechanical issues?

I was considering swapping 19s for 17s, just because of tyre price here in Australia. I have only few choices for 19s and the less expensive cheap brand is $210, whilst premium brand like KUMHO or HANKOOK is $260+ per tyre. Same premium tyres and bridgestone too for 17s are like $115 per tyre.

    Spark Plugs.

Ok, good to know! What’s the software you’re using?

    Spark Plugs.

That’s on early versions. I think 2012-2014. After that they changed the spark plugs with increased gap. Anchorman’s part number is for latest models I reckon. I have two different workshop manuals, one is for 2012-, the other is 2012-2014 and on both there is PE01/PE02 as part number. On mcx5...

    Change automatic transmission fluid?

I haven't. The car was driven for 10 mins from my home to work place. It's 3 km. I waited for the coolant light to go off and left it running on the hoist extra 5 mins. I checked the ATF while it was running with airbox off. I don't like working in tight spaces. If I can remove stuff easily, I...

    Spark Plugs.

Workshop manual shows different plug on the pic though. Specification Spark plug type PE01-18110, PE02-18110 Perhaps they're different from those in early models and 2016 has a different plug. Furthermore, I have never experienced any difference in ignition by installing a good NGK/Denso...

    Change automatic transmission fluid?

That. Working as a mechanic, Ive seen so many cars with gaskets leaking. Bad quality silicone or very old. One leaks too, but not as fast as a normal cork or rubber gasket. Just try to guess if instead of having the rubbish put in one place, it would be floating all around your transmission...

    Change automatic transmission fluid?

Changed mine today. Oil and filter. So I checked it first and that was the result: Considering it was brown colour, I decided to drain it, 3.2 L roughly Should have been blue eh? It's good it's lifetime....... After I've seen the oil pouring out of the drain plug I decided to go for the...

    Change automatic transmission fluid?

Official instructions do not say anything regarding the filter replacement and sump removal. Bummer. Called mazda today to order oil and filter and they told that if I drain the oil from the sump and replace the filter, that'd be only 3.5 litres of oil. If I do the flush with the mazda, they do...

    Change automatic transmission fluid?

Hi there. My CX5 2012 has 110000km and I bought it at 105000. I don't think transmission fluid has been ever changed on this car and I don't believe in lifetime fluid either. Should I just drain and refill like most here are writing, or remove the pan and replace the filter too?

CX-5 clunking noise when braking in D after reverse.

All bushes are fine, ball joints too. No problems with engine mounts. But checked every single suspension bolt and crossmember's too on hoist in a workshop. All tight. Rolled it off the hoist and had a friend to listen for the noise and apparently it's coming only from RH side and from the front...

FOB with tailgate program on CX5 without?

I was told by someone who works at mazda here that I cannot program the FOB with 3 buttons on the car that came with the FOB with two. BCM is not compatible.

FOB with tailgate program on CX5 without?

Yes I mean unlock it. Well let's say you are far from the car and your remote is in the pocket. Your wife is next to the car and asks you to open the tailgate for a sec to pull something out and you don't want to unlock the whole car but just the tailgate. Well you cannot do it if your remote...
