this is what happened with my FC..it was sitting for god knows how long, and when I bought it and started, my whole neighborhod hated me. It all depends what's the color of the smoke. If it stinks (burned) and it's dark gray you need to get new cats, if it's white then who ever did the rebuilt...

Darn Idiots from UPS lost my package... I just bought a full body kit for my FC, and side skirts are missing. They have been missing for a week now. F$%^%$#$# UPS On top of that they cracked the bumpers, and they said that it's not their fault.(headshake

I have my FC for 5 years, not a single problem. They do have electrical isues, but so does other cars (Dodge, Saab, ...etc.) Finding a reliable mechanic and electrician for the rotary is GOLD.

GirlRacer...any car can be a money pit if you don't take care of it. It's still cheaper than some other sports cars. But it all depends what you want to do with it. Finding the right mechanic and electrician for the second and third generations RX7 is tough. but they are fun to...

well N/A's are bullet proof....any turbo engine is a short life if you play with it a lot....hehhehe rotaries produce a lot of heat (much, much more than cylinders), so you have to make sure it's cool enough, but not too much....hehe

Get a clean rag, wipe off the dipstick and put it back into the tranny. Now when you take it out the second time, see how far the wet spot goes on it. Does your dipstick have any engraved lines? By the way where are you from, originally?

I use the cheapest one for my 7......I would guess it wouldn't make any difference since RX8 is a rotary. Our engines burn much, much hotter than cylinders.
