    Whats your favorite wax...?

Well, the paint was 12 years old on the GTI but when I did the complete 3-step Meguiars process, it would make even the oldest paint look fantastic. This would allow me to max it about 4 times a year. Im sure if I used the Zymol, I would have to apply it more often just to keep the shine...

    interior trim piece painted

Very simple yet effective. I actually like how it matches the interior light color rather than True Red. However, it would be nice to see ones color matched to the specific car. Hell, what would cap it off would be to add a custom engraved plate with the production number (if we could ever...

    Whats your favorite wax...?

Not too sure about that. I would say though that it was probably easier to get off right then after 5 minutes but I think I got an OKAY deal. I also got a small bottle of car wash concentrate and interior cleaner. So far I've just used the cleaner wax which did take off bug spots and road...

    Whats your favorite wax...?

IBIZ I picked up some wax and cleaner wax at the car show. It was crazy, the guy spray-painted a display hood, let it dry and in the end, used the wax to remove the paint! I had to get some.

    Color-matched Emblems

Eh, Im not one for removing the emblems. My GTI had them removed when I got it and I actually replaced the ones in the rear. I dont mind that the emblems are on the car but I was thinking that maybe painting them to match the color of the car would help disguise them. It would probably...

    Color-matched Emblems

I passed a black Infiniti G35 Coupe this morning and his rear emblem was painted blackto match. It looked nice but many times, black is really the only color people use to paint their emblems. I got to thinking, what would a color-matched Mazdaspeed3 or other emblems look like on the car? Any...

    Hood mod

Ugh, sometimes I wish people were more clear in what they type. (pics) please so I can get the general idea of what is going on.

Lets see what everyone drove before getting the MS3

95 Exploder - SOLD for... 95 GTI VR6 I still have the GTI but I will have to sell it eventually. This is my first, brand new car and I bought it all by myself (standing ovation please). My GTI kept giving me too many problems with the reliability of the 12v VR6 going too low for me to keep...

2008.5 MAZDASPEED3 - Now in CRYSTAL WHITE and METROPOLITAN GRAY

Hopefully they are going to think about the long term and re-sale values rather than short term but thats just me. However, it WOULD be appropriate for the Mazdaspeed3 to see 3 years of production with a color change halfway through. Is this what they are thinking?

2008.5 MAZDASPEED3 - Now in CRYSTAL WHITE and METROPOLITAN GRAY

This is great news for CBM owners. I like white and gray but it still means Cosmic Blue Mica is Mazdaspeed3 specific. Scoop them while you still can!!! However, it would be nice of Mazda to do a recall to install a MP3 player on out stereos for those who bought early (im not counting on it...

    MS3 - Rear wing effectiveness

Thank you Jeff, for giving one of the most educated responses thus far. This was what I was originally expecting the conversation to turn to and it went horribly wrong. However, maybe some people should limit their arguments to private messages seeing as while Brian MP5T has contributed a good...

I am not sure about the chasis but the new Focus looks like it eats babies. (boom08)

    MS3 - Rear wing effectiveness

Not specifically TO reduce the amount of dirt but maybe it has some effect. Hell, its just a wild guess and from reading all of these other posts, at least some of us are staying on topic. Besides, nothing ANYONE has posted has been proved so why shouldn't i make my own guess? For all I...

    MS3 - Rear wing effectiveness

I would guess that it does have some effect on reducing wind noise. Whenever I go upwards or 75 mph or so, the only noise really coming from the car is that from the wheels and slightly from the wind passing over and around the car. Also, I would agree that the wing does add a nice feature to...

    MS3 - Rear wing effectiveness

Alright, I honestly didn't think this thread would turn to such crap after creating it. Can a mod please close it.

    Installed rear sway bar yesterday

I've been looking at RSB's for the MS3 for a while and I, like you, previously owned a GTI. And I will agree 100% that installing a RSB on a MKIII was a total pain in the ass! I had a 28mm adjustable and the clamps used to attach the bar to the "axle" were so hard to install. I could be wrong...

Opinions - Cold start turbo engines

On cold mornings I usually let the idle revs fall until about 1250 or 1000. It doesn't take too long to warm up after that. I definitely wait until it is below 1500 though. After seeing the post below mine, I also shift no higher than 3000 until the needle has moved to the middle position (or...

    Turbo ToyBoxes... check this out

Not really towards the end. The hardcore dubbers are arguing that it has too much torque steer. I used to have a VW and was on those forums quite a bit. Needless to say, I like the crowd here better. Anyways, I think we should let them say what they want. I will agree that the GTI is a nice...

    MS3 - Rear wing effectiveness

Im too lazy to search for pictures but it would be nice to see a side-by-side comparison. I think I actually saw a regular 5-door drive by me today but I didn't get a good look at the wing.
