When I had just the H34 and cone filter I heard little or no turkey. But then agian I had a cone filter where the airbox used to be. But I had a friend that had a filter and the stock valve and his turkeyed. Our cars sounded totally different.

I have the type H34 thats venting, but it will be recirc by the end of the week. Now when I first got it was recirc with the factory setup, so my guess is that it will work with hard pipes to. I'll let you know

I wouldnt say gunning it but spirited driving yes. I took off in 1st gear shifted at about 4500 the same in second. But thats when it happened in second gear. I dont think there any stronger, its just a protege with a turbo right

On the way to work today, I was in 2nd gear at about 4500 rpm and bam . The noise was nasty. All of a suddenthe car would not move anymore. I thought for sure it was the clutch. Wrong. I got towed to the local shop and it turns out the axel snapped.WTF? Ive heard people on hear with clutch...

Get the downpipe. More hp. As for the intake, before I had mine I just bought a cone filter. You take the stock box off throw the filter on and move the senser back. You will have to drill a small hole for the senser. Same sound almost.
