i have 73000 miles on mine and i just replaced my wastegate and have had no problems yet. i think i should replace the s*** vaccum lines while im at it cause those things are like pencil lead theyre so brittle.. so sorry this was an edit to the post above mine^^^

i replaced my wastegate and have had no problems yet. i just bought the one from atp also.. mazdas wastegate is something around 300 right?

ok well i got my car back and it doesnt feel like it runs the same.. like going half throttle in like 2nd and 3rd gear it kinda kicks back in fourth sometimes

well before i stopped taking my car to the dealership (cause they were ripping me off cause i have no warranty) they said my wastegate was bad and that was along time ago and they said if i go over half throttle ill bnlow my engin, but i took it somwhere else and they confirmed it was the maf...

ok i got the code.. its 171 which is fuel sysem lean (bank one). does any one know what would have to be cleaned or replaced to have this cel go the f*ck away

ok well my cars in shop right now, and hes saying its running lean. they said that last time and i paid 200 something dollars to get a new maf, can theyre be any problems with the o2 sensor from running lean? i asked him for the code and hes calling me back with it so ill keep u guys posted

well ive had the same problem. the dealer told me it was a wasgate. so i took it somewhere else and they said it was running lean, so they replaced a bad maf and it was good for about a week and the cel came back? any suggestions

ok well my chek engine light came on and i had it serviced with a new maf and spark plugs becaus eit was running lean.. and a week later its back can anyone tell me some explanations, or is this just bad quality

haha ya.. i had one of my brothers teachers at uti check it out and he said it was working fine and said that the thing thats wrong is the maf and my spark plugs.. i was running to lean. so all of that is getting replaced as we speak

sorry to thread jack. but my dealer said my wastegate was gone. but the car didnt feel any diff. i was wondering if it is a direct replacement for the stock one? if so would it be safe to put it on a stock motor with intake and exhaust?

ok guys i have a custom 3" exhaust from the cat back. and i am probly gonna buy some down pipes. so would i have to buy a new mid pipe, or would it just bolt right up to the stock one? thanks in advance mike

yes it should.. as long as everything is stock. my worranty is gone though, but im taking it in tomorrow morning and ill keep u guys updated and see how everything turns out
