    CX-5 to be 86ed for CX-40?!

I tend to think that Mazda will incorporate the front end of EZ-6 EV into more new models. 2026 CX-5 could be the first.

    CX-5 to be 86ed for CX-40?!

Any model has a "4" in its name will not sell in Asia. You go to Asia, there is no 4th floor. Especially in hospitals. Good luck finding that floor. "4 = die, close pronunciation" BMW 4 series is not selling well either in Asia. Alfa Romeo had a "164" once. (=die all the way) Few people wanted...

2017 CX-5 GT Android Auto Upgrade Questions

You can DIY. Buy the box. Install DIY (or have someone else do it). Need to check your software version. It needs certain versions to handle it. I had a '17 (sold it). I looked into this. Your nearby Mazda dealer can do for $$$. My guess would be $400+ (parts and labor). In NYC, it would not be...

    Confused about SD card

Amazon's SD GPS card would no longer work for new models. Be aware of this when you make the purchase. As "cz5gt" said above. I got a '22 Turbo. It still worked for mine.

Radar Sensor and Smart Brake System Malfunction

Was there an accident repair of the front end you were not aware of? Could be the radar under the grille logo. Guessing here. Both SBC and MRCC rely on the front radar.

Removing the inside hatch courtesy light panel?

2019 CX-5 How do I open key fob to replace battery?

Some of those "fob battery replacement" videos got millions of views... Amazing.

Any advice for error code P0140?

https://www.mazdaswag.com/v-2014-mazda-cx-5--touring--2-5l-l4-gas/engine--air-intake #6. Mass Air Flow Sensor. My co-worker's '14 Mazda3 had this failure. He replaced it DIY. If you clean it, make sure you use the right cleaner. Try the cheap fix first.

    Snow Chain/Cable Recommendation?

For CX-5, I would definitely put chains/cables on the front axle. Drive axle + better steering.

    Snow Chain/Cable Recommendation?

I would recommend installing chains on all four wheels if you have two sets. If only 1 set, this guy explained it well. • Snow chains mounted on all 4 with 4WD/AWD - ideal lateral stability, perfect acceleration, crisp steering, super braking. However, part time systems will show some...

    Mazda CX-30 or CX-5?

Note that CX-30 does not have independent rear suspension like CX-5 has. Big negative for me, but your own decision on that. Emergency handling could be compromised... not necessarily obvious in daily driving. Same for CX-50. Yes. Tariff. Last time I checked while I was at a dealership. That...

2017 CX-5 Infotainment ghost touch issue

Even if yours is out of warranty... most dealers have a "goodwill account". For special customers, SA (service advisor) can use it to get something fixed for free or share cost. Be nice, and plea your case. The dealer I frequent has done that twice for my four Mazdas. I did get the ext warranty...

    Snow Chain/Cable Recommendation?

Siggy, If you have an AWD and all-season/snow tires... the chance of you needing to use chains is small. Nowadays, if the road condition is bad enough that even AWD needs chains, they simply close the roads. My experiences. They want to be safe for everyone. Please do carry them... If you have...

Which Class III Hitch for a 2016 CX-5?

OP, when I had a '08 CX9, I brought a hitch (3") from etrailer.com. They sent me a slightly bent unit. Holes did not line up perfectly. I managed to get it installer by gradually tightening the bolts alternatively. Curt is a good brand. I thought I got the other one. Don't remember it now.

Should I do the following scheduled maintenance?

Actually, $500+ is about what dealers charge for ATF drain-n-refile in CA. (SF Bay Area) 10 yrs ago, it was about $250. Cost of living is very high here. Everyone needs to make a living.

2017 CX-5 Sluggish Engine Response After Belt Tensioner Replacement

Some might disagree, but this is a known issue for '16 and '17 Mazdas. My '16 Mazda6 got it. My '17 CX-5 also got it. 100% failure rate among my four Mazdas. The tensioner of my '14 Mazda3 still looks clean. Note that, all my vehicles spend most nights in garage. CA warm weather. Inferior OE...

2017 CX-5 Sluggish Engine Response After Belt Tensioner Replacement

My '17 CX5 (43k miles) just had this replaced (tensioner). Dealer fixed it for free as a gesture of goodwill. Dealer did charge me $200 for the belt, which was ridiculous. Since the tensioner was replaced for free, I did not argue with them. No difference how it drove before and after. Sold it...

2017~2025 Have you experienced auto braking when reversing a CX-5?

I stand corrected. Thanks. I was going for Signature model when I bought my Turbo (1 level below it). During Covid, it was not easy to find one.
