Are you sure you didn't get the Sport Exhaust for the protege sedan? I believe it's tip is longer and cut at a slant.

What do you guys think of these rims? Racing Hart CR's. Anyone have any pics of them on the P5? I like them, but I always like to see what they look like on my car before I consider buying them.

Woah, small world. I get all my maintenance done there. I actually shopped there, but they didn't have a P5 I wanted, so I ended up buying one at Browning Mazda.

Anyone know if the 17" MP3 rims are lighter or heavier than our 16" ones?

I remember someone posting the part numbers for those quite some time back. Maybe a search would yield some results. I'm looking to completely remove the rack as well, though I have no idea how to do it myself. I'm not exactly mechanically inclined. Do you think the dealer could take off the rack?

I did see a dyno from a user here. It was quite some time ago, but I am certain he got about 3-4 HP at the wheels on the dyno. Yeah it's at higher rpm's, but for an axleback, it's damn good, and is only slightly lower in performance than the Racing beat cat back system.

Last I saw people got about 3-4 HP at the wheels. Pretty damn good for axle back and $200.

I live in California and have been driving without front plates for years, first on my Nissan Sentra, and now on my MP5. Cops rarely notice it.

Thanks Jim. I had seen threads on people removing theirs, but I don't trust myself enough to start removing the headliner and crap like that. I think I'll give my dealer a call, and see what it would cost to completely remove the roof rack.

Any chance that the mechanics at Mazda dealerships know anything about taking them off older models? I always wanted to take mine completely off. (not just remove the cross bars), but I don't have the know how to do so myself. I figure since dealers are selling the P5 without them, or offering...
