Not very loud can still hear it though with the windows down, and paying attention. What do you mean by engine winding up and down, did not do that before, u think it could be an air leak somewhere?

This whistling noise only happens when in 1st gear and the clutch is pressed and held for a while before switching to 2nd. Noise happens only when the car is moving, and not stationary. Have not checked the clutch lines, could it be that there is not enough transmission oil in the gear box?
