Here's some more detailed info on the Mazda3 stock wheels. The stock offset is 52.5+ (55+ on my late Mazdaspeed Protege) and the stock bolt pattern is 5x114.3 or 5x4.5in (I think...). I'd assume that the largest width you could fit is 7.5in (stock wheels are 6.5in), maybe 8.0in. The stock bolt pattern cannot be changed but the offset you can play with. The closer the offset is to 52 (assuming the wheel width is 7in or less), the less chance of rubbing. Supposedly, the Titanium Axela hatch pictured uses 18x8in wheels with 225 tires (I have an article from a Japanese magazine with the wheel/tire size.... I'll post it as soon as I find it), with a 45+ offset.... and yes, that particular Axela has been lowered (how much.... I haven't a clue....).
