to paint or not to paint? my CF hood

so I have an orange msp, gunmetal wheels, WW evo cf hood, dgm CF lip
right now the hood has the same pearl on it as the rest of the car and thats it, and I also have a autoexe replica grill

I recently purchased a DGM CF grill as my original idea had always been to paint the sides of the CF hood orange similar to how the WW car is painted and then the CF would flow down into the CF grill........

My car is going in to have some work done shortly and this is when it would be painted if i decide to go that route but im having trouble deciding. On the one hand the painting the sides of the hood and having the CF flow into the grill is a nice look that I havent seen yet.....but on the other hand, it seems to be a growing trend that wont neccesarily be so unique in the near future, not to mention the CF is gorgeous and it looks so mean having the whole hood CF - especially because of the horizontal lines of CF it creates when looking at it from the front (with the lip and the orange in between)

help me decide what to do!

thanks :)

Paint it but leave a 1" strip at the top running along the bottom of your windshield.

Seen it, looks great, not Ghetto!!

I like the way it looks the way it is. The stripes down the side would look sweet but like you said it is becoming real popular. Keep it unpainted, I think nothing is sweeter than flaunting a bad ass C/F hood.

If you really want something to paint, spray some black on the stuff behind your upper & lower grilles.

while it is not a completely practial application, you could do what dgm did on the mazdaspeed miata. they painted the hood red and had flames, but they left the flames un painted, so there were carbon fiber flames. not so much what i would do with my carbon fiber hood, but it looked FUKEN AWESOME.

I say paint it, it'll look like hotness. on side note, who made that replica autoexe grill. looks great. if your selling it i'll buy it

Paint it. I have the WW CF EVO Hood on my P5. The reason I painted is this. From a distance of about 20' and out a CF hood looks black, It looks like you screwed up your hood and haven't gotten around to painting the replacement hood. If you paint portions of it, then from a distance it atleast looks like you have a custom paint job, then when people get closer they see it's a CF hood.

Damn, hard decision man. I was thinking of painting the sides and leaving the rest CF too when I get mine. But like everyone else says, you may want to do something different. Maybe just leaving it the way it is the best bet. Either that or just paint the whole thing.

Like the Miata, except it's too "busy" looking for me. Hurts my eyes after a while.

hey Reffoxel, how do you get your car to be so shiny? It looks like you never drove it and looks like you wax and polish the s*** out of it. What products do you use?
