nice, im painting my rims black soon also(although they are powdercoated white so im not sure it will look good lol)

I just hope they hold up like people say they should- 2 coats of color and 2 of clearcoat with dupli-color- best mod for $10 I have found

very nice...the 2nd pic is what they look like right ? 'cause in the first pic they look a lil' too dark.

Actually, it's not time to (cheers), it's rather time to lower your car. (evil)

Btw, good job.

actually the first pic that's posted is what they look like, but the light was starting to fade pretty bad, they look better in the light than they did in that pic. EDIT: the second pic was from about 2:00 and the first one from about 5:15

You aren't kidding on needing to lower it- it's driving me nuts- I gotta order my springs here shortly

didn't even realize that I can't spell anymore! Guntmetal: the newest alloy, only weighs half a pound and increases horsepower by 30%!

OH by the way, I've read somewhere that if you just painted them, it'll be a pain in the ass later on. Since the rocks will chip the paint on your rims, you'll eventually have to repaint them every now and then.

yeah I probably will, but there are a couple of guys that have had theirs done for over a year and no issues yet, so I am hopeful.

very nice, question though, when I was lookin at wheel paint from duplicolor at my local store they only carried silver, graphite and clearcoat. DId yours say gunmetal? or was it the graphite, cause I have used the graphite paint on the HVAC nobs and on my grill insert in my autoexe grill and it looks great. was thinkin of doing the wheels also since it is a wheel paint =P

High pressure washable???

Hey Shinzen,

I love that colour!! very very nice!!
Have u tried to high pressure washed ur painted rims?? from like coin wash???
do the paint peel out?? and did you prime ur rims??
wat kinda primer am i lookin' at here??
j/ regular primer or somethin' special???

P5 it's the duplicolor graphite color, it threw me off at first too, but it is correct. The directions for the paint just say to use a bug/tar remover on the rim and then do a couple of coats of the graphite, followed by a couple of coats of clearcoat, so no primer needed. I did find that its a pretty high quality spray paint, not a single run with nice even spray strokes. So far I have gone through a regular wash, but I haven't had the chance to go do a real cleaning, I just got back from reno about 2 hours ago. I was thinking about doing the factory grill with the same color, just masking off the mazda symbol- I have a fair amount of it left, so I might mess with it this weekend if the weather is nice.
