Mobil changes recommendation for turbo

My 2021 GTR required Mobil 1EP in a 5w30 viscosity in Jan of this year. The NEW Mobil recommendation is Mobil 1EP HM 5w30. I'm trying to understand why the change. Does anyone have the data which demonstrates the differences between the two oil? If not, I may try to find some time tomorrow to look into this. Ed

There is no "requirement" for a specific brand or formulation of oil

Not sure who recommended this for your car but here is what shows in the mobil page.
All 3 types are available. The HM i guess is the high mileage and dont see any need unless your car is really high mileage.

Why not call Mobil?
