2003 Mazda Protege5 $3500

Alright, today is the day I put her up for sale! It's a sad day, to be honest.

2003 Mazda Protege5. Silver, naturally aspirated, unfortunately.
Manual transmission.
You are the third owner.
~160,000 miles, she's in the garage right now.
Garage kept
Cosmetically modded (painted bumper and a custom shift boot...)
Performance completely stock.
Weekday driver, never driven hard.
All Highway miles.
I barely drove this car, wish I did more.

Asking $3,500 but negotiable.

I've owned this car for about a year and a half now. And here's the good. I'm the second owner, I bought it off the original owner and paid the last of his lein. Clean title. Interior is in very good condition, minus I few scrapes on the center console by the shifter and such from normal use (11 year old car, mind you). Will come with functioning factory radio, but the CD player isn't working. I have purchased and was in the middle of installing an aftermarket radio when.... January 12th of last year I lost my license due to unpaid tickets (not related to driving this vehicle whatsoever, nor am I a threat to you lol) . I lost it for an entire year and this car has been garage kept since. It has been driven weekly. Cautiously redlined once a week and taken for a drive of exactly 21 miles every Sunday. AC blows cold, audio is good, shifts nicely and all gears work flawlessly, just installed a brand new exhaust and tires on the Mozzy and only put about 300 miles on them. Seafoamed twice since I've had the car (two years). Never driven hard because I have my impreza for that [emoji12]. Seats have no tears or burns to my knowledge. I slid into a curb last winter and had to replace the control arm, steering link and I believe the ball bearing. I have receipts for the $1000+ in repairs. Engine starts up wonderfully and didn't studder once at all last year when we had a morning when it was -22 below. I thought I was going to have to keep her cranking, but she fired up instantly! But back to the point... Garage kept since I've had her. The first owner used her as a travel car from Greendale to Germantown, therefore explains the ~160k miles that have been wonderful towards her. But, onto the bad.

The suspension makes noises. A little soft, but I believe it's the seats on the springs. If replaced, I believe the car would sound great. DOES NOT AFFECT PERFORMANCE.

The alternator (what I think it is...) doesn't recharge the battery. The battery is brand new (6months old). I could put a new one in for you, for the right price.

Minor exterior damage. She has a few rust bubbles, but nothing that looks serious and majorly affects the car. A decent man with enough brains to look up a YouTube tutorial could fix these. The front bumper is also cracked on the passenger side due to a parking lot ding.

My biggest pet peeve, the steering wheel cover (for the airbag) has a small knick in tit right on the Mazda emblem. Bugs me. Easy fix.

The tint on the passenger and driver side Windows could be redone. It is a light tint, but you can see bubbles and knicks in it from the previous owner.

Minus the newly found issue on the alternator, she fires up immediately, drives great and gets incredible MPGs. I put in a OBD2 sensor in for a few days and averaged 32mpg in the suburbs. I LOVE this vehicle and would like to keep it, if it weren't for my 2013 Honda and 2004 wrx. Please, take this girl off my hands, and boost her. Because she's begging for it. PM me for any additional and specific pictures.

I will not ship the car via bed, but will drive and deliver if the price pays for my gas and maybe a case of beer or too. ONLY IN THE US.

Asking $3,500, negotiable.

Tyler.
