cracked windshield

i know this has been covered before but i just want to make sure the dealer will cover it when i take it in.i have only had the car for a month.

if it is a stress crack, the dealer will replace it for you.. I got mine replaced because of a crack.

It doesn't look like there are any rock chips.... so you should be fine

im going to arlington mazda today.......talked to willie and said he would look at it.

the dealer in my area told me to check the crack with a ball point pen, if you feel a divet at any point, they wouldn't replace it- so now I have a crack all the way across my windshield...

well willie said no to them replacing my windshield........he used a pen to check.....i just cant beleave a tiny devit would cause the windshield to crack if there was something wrong with the glass to begin with. now i know what to do with the little extra money arlington county gave me for xmas.....

I'd give Mazda North America about it....mine cracked & they told me the same thing: that they wouldn't replace it because there was a "chip". I simply explained that there was no way in hell that I was going to have to pay for a new window w/ only 19K. They called the MNAO and 1/2 hour later they told me that it "wasn't a warranty repair, but they would replace it as a customer service repair". If you have a good dealer, they should know the value of a good customer...good luck!

I know how you feel, on the plus side though, usually for about 5 bucks/month you can have your insurance company put a glass rider on with no deductible- unfortunately I forgot to put it on when I got this car.. I have the same tiny little kind of divet that apparently started this mess for me.

i will call mazda NA in the morning and see what they say.i can also go by malloy mazda in woodbridge...its near my house.it just pisses me off that i dont even have 1800 miles on it......i little off topic here but is anyone getting together for driinks or anything for xmas or newyears.
