Rear LED flashers

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I posted on our Forum... Just a quick question for you guys...

I just bought for my '10 Mz-5 GT some LED reverse lights. Color is nice (blueish/white similar to the picture attached), but really, compared to the factory ones, they are a bit less convenient when reversing in the dark..

Nevertheless, I bought the "18 LEDs bulb" for reverse and was wondering if any of you bought the LED bulbs for the rear flashers? (The amber ones just as the one shown in my picture). Or any other model? I am afraid of 2 things:

1 - Will the brightness be as efficient as the regular bulbs since the reflexion of the LED inside the casing is not as precise as a standard bulb?
2 - Will this cause the flasher module to think that I have a burned bulb and start blinking ultra fast?

If any of you have good websites where to buy these bulbs and satisfied with them, I would really appreciate your input. Thanks!

Those 18~ LED bulbs etc. are junk. A guy I know in Vancouver sells these for $20 each, these have four 1.5W LEDs and are slightly brighter than normal bulbs. He also has single 5W bulbs that are very very bright and 9W bulbs that are so bright they are only suitable for backup lights and will light everything up like a 45W incandescent bulb.

You also have to splice these in to not make them blink too fast:

Personally, I would just stick with LEDs for the brake lights and maybe 9W backup lights and leave the turn signals as is with stock lights.

DKaz,

Thanks for your comments. Would you have any details on where we can buy those types of bulbs you are referring to?
