Hey guys, as you can see im pretty new to this forum (but ive been reading the forums for about a year and a half). So, I finally got my 2000 1.6L Mazda Protege LX with 128xxx km on it, in the next week to a month me and my dad are going to put a couple thousand into it to make it look nice and maybe after that work on the engine. Atm the parts im planning to get is 03.5 spoiler, msp sideskirt, P5 rear lip, Sport 20 bumper, JDM lip(if we can find a good price on it), sport 20 grill and fog lights, tinted black windows since the tint on my car turned purple and bubbly, 17" rims not sure which ones yet, black headlights and tinted stock taillights. Engine: Weapon R SRI or simota SRI(if thats how you spell it), Thunder header, spark plugs, ignition wires, racing beat exhaust system, and MAYBE turbo . I notice how helpful you all are and how you all like to see how the build progresses, i cant wait to get started with my car and start talking to you all about it ! (yippy)

yeah, i noticed alot of people have a 01-03 build thread but not to many 99-00 build thread so i thought it would be pretty cool to show you all how it comes out and have a little help when i need it. also thanks for the info, photobucket account would make it much easier.

yeah who ever did that tint did a crappy job, im hoping to get it tinted late this week btw do i have to get certain headlights to make the sport 20 bumper to fit? i was just reading up on it but it was posted back in 06.

Not sure about the headlights, and Im not sure what your budget is but I believe the sport 2.0 is rare and expensive.

ill do anything to find that bumper ! lol but my budget as of now is around $3000 - 4500

Actually here ya go, claims to be for the 99-00 model, and at $261 its not as bad as I thought. I guess I was thinking of the field break or mint blue

yes sir even thow im switching to a 01-03 but deep!!!! inside mine is still a 99-00 protege am i right!!!!!!!

Yeah I feel ya man not to much 99-00 love here but were still reppin im doin a build thread too check it out man im subbin to see where this goes
