Well, I just sold my Protege 5 to the dealer and bought a brand new car !

To many repairs in the next few months made it impossible for me to keep it. I had a lot of problems with this car :
-Engine blew out 8 months in (I bought the car used by the way)
-EGR twice
-Front pipe rusted
-Air intake hose
-Rear brake calipers leaking
-Catalytic converter
...and I'm maybe forgetting some...

And everytime one of these problems arrived, I looked in this forum for answer. Most of the time I actually found a lot of answers ! So thats why I want to say thanx to everybody who is contributing to this forum.

So i'm going to be a Honda guy for the next few years, I might come back to Mazda some day but my experience with the P5 just made me want to look somewere else.

So heres the last pic of my ride in all its rust, fuel tank leaking, rear caliper sticking, oil burning glory !

Thanks everyone !

So you got a lemon not everyone's p5 is like that.Goodluck in the honda world been there done that it's not fun waking up in the morning and hoping your car is still there lol.

I got the honda civic 2010. Brand new ! Polished Metal Mettalic ! (Charcoal) Did not put as many options on it as I would have liked but I had to stay on my budget. I think if I had bought my P5 brand new, I would not have had as many problems with it. The first owner had a loan and likly never took any care of it. Now I have a brand new car that i'm going to take a lot of care of from day 1.

@JDMJNKY : Don't get me wrong, I loved my P5 ! If it wasn't for the first owner, I probably would not have changed car for another 2 years still. Like you said, I got a lemon. It was sadly time to let it go :-( . But I'm keeping the liscence plate and a LOT of good memories from that car :-D
