2006 Mazda3 (Manual, 5 Door)
Recently got my 2006 Mazda3, the brakes look a bit odd, discolored. They're probably fine, just checking. I'm particularly suspicious, cause i have to drag the car back to the dealer so they can fix the brakes which they claim are great and brand new, but have been insanely noisy, bad enough to be really embarrassing. Very very annoyed about it.

Anyway, let me know if those look strange in anyway, sorry about the stock rims ;p

it looks pretty normal from what i can see...a lot of times, with cheap aftermarket brake pads, they can be a little squeaky...just a side effect of not buying direct mazda parts

No, it's not a little squeaky, it's intolerable and really embarrassing. It's been happening for over 2 weeks now. I called them up and was a little b****y about it. He made a big deal about how the brakes were new and serviced and all kinds of grand nonsense. Sure, they work, but i've never driven anything that sounded like this. I mean, this can't possible be normal, right?

Those rotors look normal, but can you take a picture of the rear calipers where you can see the pad backing? The rear pad retention mechanism changed between 04-05 and later models... when you use the wrong rear pad design, they fit and work but are super noisy, sounds like that may be the problem.
