Crazee 4 tha darkside...

Well, thank goodness I opted for a fresh rebuild before installing!

My mechanic turned me on to a great turbo place (prolly where I should have gone to begin with!)
I talked them about doing my rebuild if PTE won't.

Those crazy Canucks!
I spoke with Guillaume (GEE-yom) and I can tell he is an excellent source.
His rep on the Honda forums and DIY turbo is very good.

man this is crazy, can't believe i missed this build before. Very neat stuff.

Good luck with the turbo rebuild! And its very good that $.40 part didn't do any more damage!

Well, another long overdue update is.....due.

Twiggys were removed and have found a new home. They will be headed to Canukistan. Sad to say goodbye.

Turbo is back from rebuild with upgraded bearing and new turbine wheel.
Coated turbine housing is back from Swain Tech.
Piping kit from CXracing arrived today http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...y_Code=PIPK250
I can't wait to see that FMIC smiling back at me!

Gathering a few other odds and ends
Millenia PCV valve
One way check for EVAP purge canister
oil lines for turbo and oil filter relocate

I have my tranny cooler kit picked out, Derale 13950 ($180). Should be ordering it in a couple weeks or so. This will accompany the CS AL radiator that is waiting to be installed also.

Lots of spring cleaning to do
remove and clean wheels
lots of touch up paint (i have some new war wounds to go with the rusty ones)
I also have to re-address brakes and suspension
Hook up removable sub-box and amp
I need a rear STB to complete my P5 rear cage.

Hopefully will be putting the snail in soon and doing a base tune for 5psi.
Spare block is going to be stripped for a refresh.
Once I can afford pistons, we'll get that one ready to go in with the K1 long rods.

Wazzup, Bitches? (couch)

Had a major setback this fall;
Long story short, the shop where I was storing many of my parts shut down suddenly when the owner/operator had an incapacitating motorcycle accident (100mph, wearing a helmet, took impact in the face. He was out of commission for quite a while and has some long term damage).
By the time I found out, much of the shop had been shoved into a storage unit or dumped, since the place was rented. I have made two trips to the storage facility and only retrieved some items.
I found my PTE T3/4 rebuilt turbo, FMIC, trans cooler, Hiboost creamic coated mani and K1 long rods.
My Synapse BOV, JGS 40mm WG :( and a complete piping kit from CX racing are nowhere to be found.
The engine (and the rolling stand I bought for it) are among the items missing. It's possible the engine was thrown out as scrap! Dammit!
Josh (Altspace) and I drove to CT and back to pick it up a couple years back.

I have since acquired:
- Doc B "doctored" Oil pump service on brand new OEM stock and ext PRV (ty Tom / MP3racer)
- AWR deep sump oil pan
- TIEN S-techs and new Monroe Sensatracs
- a "greddy style" BOV
- 42 Customs Billet AL vacuum block, black PC
- a trio of Autometer Phantom 2-1/16"
5703 - Mechanical Boost
5727 - Electronic Oil Pressure
5757 - Electronic Trans Temp. with two sending units
- a steering column pod and an A-Pillar dual gauge holder
- some assorted wiring harness and ECUs

I still need to pay off the balance of my 505 SMIM and more items I am picking up from Bazooka Joe

This winter the Altspace Garage was utilized to re-paint the stock P5 rims in Gunmetal and were shod with OEM sized, brand new Hankook Ice Bears in time for the big snowfalls this year. *whew*

Lately, she has been burning lots of oil (notcool)
I think the starter is going or gone as well.....so the battle continues...
(idhitit) (spin)
Speaking of battles, I now have authentic battle damage to my front fender due to a highway encounter to match my rear quarter panel's.
I also don't have my entire driver side fender liner in place. Once my CS FG bumper duct took a hit entering a parking lot, the remaining pieces tore off at speed!
As a result, we converted my CAI into a short ram. Apparently, AIR filters don't work real well when soaked with rain water.

Today, she got towed after I shredded another accessory belt.
It had been squealing for a while (ty aluminum pulleys) and blew when I was on my way to return to Josh's for another re-tightening. My battery MIL went on and the the temp shot up. Coolant had overflowed significantly and was boiling when I parked.

Hoping to move the build forward as funds allow (heh)

Dang, sorry to hear about all of that. You have any recent pictures of your car? I LOVE the white on white!

Enjoy...

She's back up and runnin today
New belt and discovered many bent teeth on my crank pulley no doubt from chewing on the plastic remains of the fender liner.
Front suspension is suspiciously more clunky than is normal for me even.

Dan...sorry to hear dude. I wish you luck in finding your parts and getting her back on the road.
