Mazda 6 17" wheel fitment

Hi Guys,

I did a search and I see at least someone is running the Mazda 6 rims but I wanted to verify clearance and stuff.

So my stock 16's for my Protege 5 were stolen and I can get some Mazda 6 17x7 +60 offset cheap if I want.

I'm worried about the big offset.

Can anyone help me out with info regarding this setup on the Protege 5?

Thanks in advance

+60? is that right? are you sure? I thought they were 52.5?

Yeah I checked the inside of the rim, said 60.

Yeah I wanted to make sure there was enough clearance, I'd probably run a 215/40/17 with it.

I tried searching through the forum and couldn't sift out the info I was looking for, some of the wheel threads have gotten pretty long.

Also what would you think theyd be worth, 4 17" mazda 6 wheels, avg condition.(not tires)

if nothing else, space em out 10mm and you're back to stock offset. 10mm I'd recommend extended studs though.. a 5mm spacer will put you at MSP fitment also, just FYI..

the wheels only, I wouldn't pay over prb 200 for em...

I have a p5 and a 08 mazda 6, I just switched the rims and they fit. I used Continental 215/40/17, i tired it with the stock 215/50/17 tires, the front fit but not the rear.

the rear rim (without tires) clears by only a few millimeters. I decided not to put the ones I have on as I didn't want to mess around with spacers.

you dont need spacers if you use the mazda 6 rim with 215/40/17, its close but it works fine.

I would definitely use a 205 if they can stretch on a 7" wheel.

i mean the tip of a screw driver is what space you have to play with

here is a picture of my rear wheel with just barely makes it with the mazda 6 rim and my continental 215/40/17's
