i don't think your gonna beat a prelude with the H22A engine, they have 200HP with shorter ratios, we have 130HP with your intake and catback you may have 140HP at the MOST on a good day at sealevel, but congradualtions on your pimpin ride!

well if you read my aol and msn and yahoo screen name i am a Prelude owner .also to correct that the H23A engine is a 2.3 DOCH no v-tech edition motor which I own as well yes a Prelude .. will never be beaten by a MP5 .. but with a full Injen CAI and full 3 &1/2 inch cat back system i am well over 150 hp .. also the 1997-2001 prelude 200HP sh edition is SLOW as PIS comaired to the regulare 2.2 DOHC V-tech ...

Isn't it funny how folks can get carried away with performance gains?

It's a wonder that a new ashtray won't get you to the moon... :D

Did I miss something or did you say you have a 3 &1/2 inch cat back system? As in 3.5 " DIAMETER? High powered turbo cars use 3" exhaust systems...can you even fit that big of a pipe (3.5") under the p5? You would be loosing power with that much diameter...and no where on earth would you get 20+ hp from an intake and exhaust upgrade on a stock NA 2 liter 4 cylinder.

In anycase...Don't want to start a flamewar...but lets keep things honest here...were not talking Hondas ;). Welcome to the site...can't wait to see pics of your ride...enjoy the site! :D

yeah...sorry...as much as i'd like to believe you have 150hp...i'm just not seeing it with a catback and intake...apparently you smokin good though...turbo magazine just did some dynos with muffler and intake...they saw maybe 10hp i think...you have a better intake so maybe...MAYBE 1 hp more...

but with a full Injen CAI and full 3 &1/2 inch cat back system i am well over 150 hp
You might want to rethink that. You are around 110 at the wheels, and that's giving you a couple. I'll guarantee it. If you dyno any higher than that with just those mods, I'll pay for your dyno fee. That's how sure I am.

Sorry Dude there is no way your getting 20hp form simple bolt on's I used to have a Honda Civic. It had a all kinds of goodies on it and I never got 20 hp from a intake and exhaust. I was going to go turbo but I decided to get a mp5 instead I plan on going turbo on this car 4sure as soon as I get some $$$$$. By the way my civic gould keep up with the 2.2 dohc engine. But there was no way I could pass one. And this car is not as fast as my civic.....At least not yet...hahahaha...anyways welcome to the best damm forum out there.
Later Dude's

Oklet me clearify .. i have not ever tested the car on a dyno .. but according to the box alone on the Injen CAI it shows the dyo results for a Mazda Portege and it peaks out at 150 Hp @ 5500 RPs so I took that with a grain of salt since i have the Cat back ... also to reply tothe others abotu the civic and prelude .. my 1993 Honda Prelude .. hit 0-60 in 4.9 with all my stuff on it and that was with out NOZ or ZEX ect .. and i have the video to prove it .. I mena i have a guy here in town that runs a Honda Civic Hatchback that can eat a Viper .. and if you allare not sure of that either .. go to TeamKLR.com now i will be the first to admit that the MP5 that I have is slow as piss compared to lots of my other cars .. but i only mentioned that HP due to what was labled on teh box of the CIA and also the fact that i have been nose to nose with a civic .. so i am not here to start s*** .. HEHE just hear to have fun

where did you get them from?

Try Pep Boys. They are made by Motegi Racing ( http://www.motegiracing.com/main.asp ), the same guys that make the Ro Ja line of rims. They aren't the lightest rims out there, but for the price you can't really beat them. They also come in white and gunmetal and in sizes from 14 x 6 to 18 x 7.

but I personally like these that they make the best

Can you post a pic with them on your ride? I would like to see how they look in relation to the rest of the car.

my 1993 Honda Prelude .. hit 0-60 in 4.9 with all my stuff on it and that was with out NOZ or ZEX ect

All right I've seen that you've been getting bunch of s*** about mod this and horsepower that so I'm going to stay away from the MP5 stuff. But this??? Come on? I've got a 92 Prelude Si which is the same as the 93 Prelude Si (non-vtech H23A) and there is no way in hell that the car can do 0 - 60 in 4.9 seconds. Turbo, NOS and a bunch of head work later maybe. But it's just not going to happen without the car being on the gas and force fed.

I bet the 0-60 of 4.9 was with stock tires too.

I saw on some trick tuners tv show late one night, a Civic that could run the quarter mile faster than most motorcycles, but it had turbo, NOS and fat racing slicks on the front.

I am happy with a stock engine P5, but I have 3 young kids that demand my time and money.

Probably had a Ferrari engine under the hood, too. ;)

It was all for the dragstrip, but pretty cool none the least. The show is on Speedvision now and then on Sunday nights if I remember correctly. Some pretty cool cars.
