First Look at 2010 Speed 3

I was at the dealer yesterday for some warranty work, and I noticed they had a black 2010 Speed 3 in stock, so I checked it out.

I wanted to like it, because all the griping about the new look is tiresome. And you know what? It's catastrophically ugly. I thought the black might hide the worst of the smile, but the grill has some sort of slats in it that just make it worse. And it's ugly from the rear too. Really disappointing. (blarf)

i visit the mazdaspeed dealer every so often trying to see if they have a 2010 in the showroom but i haven't seen one yet. apparently there are ppl that like them because the dealers say that the ones coming in have already been sold (due to pre-ordering by customers)

My friend traded his 07 speed 3 for a 2010, i don't like what mazda did to a great car, but all the technology they put into the car is awesome, hopefully someone will make a body kit to help that stupid smile.

Yeah I have been reading about the Sportback for a while. No EVO version yet, so only the RalliArt (Auto "Dual Clutch" bulls***) and the regular Lancers.

I don't think it looks that bad though.

i dont like the evo hatch's rear.

ill bet all the aftermarket body kit makers are working hard to replace 2010 front bumper/grill...

then again, 2010 is selling like hot cake. i have seen 2010 mazda 3 a lot on the street lately. no Speed 3 yet tho...

it's weird the lancer has a rear wiper with a window that has that much slant to it. rear wipers are usually on vehicles with generally vertical windows because the aerodynamics aren't there to blow the rain off it.

but overall i think it looks okay. and i wonder if they'll have an EVO version in that trim just because subi's sti is only in the hatch.

EVO hatch looks pretty cool. Not cool enough for me to trade, but more hatchbacks = good thing.

It's still a hot looking car, even with the smile...(eekdance) I'm going to test drive one this week, just for comparison sake. Love the liquid silver, if I could swing it I'd buy one right now.

Call me nuts I actually like that Lancer as a hatch, should have been available along with the sedans a long time ago, and it's an AWD! (321fu) Could mean competition for Imprezas, before they bumped it up to 265.

If you're getting a new Speed3 then I'm jealous... and you need a better Credit Union.
