Hey whats up guys, i havent done anything too major to my car yet but i have done a couple custom things and other work. So i will just list the things that i have done so far.

So first off i went to Jamaica last summer and while my car was in my drive way someone took the liberty of keying it on all panels except for the roof and back passenger door. So i had to get it repainted that is the first 2 pics.

the next pic, i had the guys at the paint shop spray the front emblem and then i did some custom work on itso i could get my evil "M"

- the foruth pic is what i am currently have done, my cusin is wrapping it in carbon fiber that has blue threads in it. apparently they have many colors something i did not know (He has many colors). So this pic is about half way through the process i should have the finished pics by the weekend, but im not sure if you can see the blue it was kinda rainy that day. Hope you guys like.

What i did this past weekend was painting my calipers yellow, i didnt know that i need multiple cans so i only did the front until this weekend when i can finish the back. I think it came out great cant wait to finish the job.

Plans......

I am curently planning on taking off and painting my valve cover yellow and getting the manifold powder coated.

I am also swtiching to LEDs all the way around the car.

In the MP3 there is a cover for the valve cover that is black and has the MP3 on it, i am planning on have this done in the blue carbon fider also but we will see what happens. I guess thats all i can think of for now but i will be sure to keep you guys updated. please feel free to post thoughts. Likes, Hates what ever all are welcome. (breakn)

Y paint the valve cover and also upgrade your valve cover cover? You won't see the valve cover anyways...
And lowering springs make the car look much more sexy!

yes it is true that the MP3 valve cover covers the valve cover but when looking at it you would be able to see yellow thru the vents that are on the sides and the front. i Still think that it will look good thru the vents, but thanks for the concern. and as for lowering that one is a little further down the list for me, after these mods i am looking to get a new exhust.

What do you mean by exhaust? A cat-back? Axel Back? or just a mid-pipe or header? I personally would go for springs first, only be ~$200. But Exhaust is good too! What were you thinking about going with?

sorry about that i mean a full catback exhaust, really i didnt know that springs were that cheap, is it a good company offering this?

and for the exhaust i was thinking of a few which are Magnaflow, Raceing Beat, and greddy. still not too sure on it though, and suggestions?

car comes with racing beat muffler but if you looking to upgrade check out protegegarage.com.

I'd be interested in that stock Racing Beat axleback if you end up going with a different exhaust. I just bought my MP3 a couple weeks ago and it came with a really nice sounding Magnaflow axleback, but I don't like the look.. I prefer the OEM low profile muffler instead. Wanna trade?

i dont think that i will trade for that, no offense to you but i was looking for somthing new, or with a nice chrome finish. if your still looking when i get my exhuast maybe we can work somthing out

no its just axle back.

So the pipe form mid-pipe to muffler is same as normal protege? What diameter is that just 2 in? It seems like on my car its about 2.25... Wonder if my car was full Cat-back aftermarket then? Damn, if it's stock skinny pipe I'm gonna look into a test pipe for in between... lol

stock piping was 1.75". the mp3 came stock with only a rb axleback. i have the aftermarket rb exhaust which is cat back. piping is 2.25"

No offense taken.. I don't like the damn exhaust either lol. That's why I'm trying to get my hands on a stock one.

yea im pretty sure that there was no cat, and i am not sure of the diameter.

Krayzie, whtas the diameter of the piping on the magnaflow? 2.25" or 2.5"? I just looked on protege garage and it didn't say.
I am sorta interested in possibly trading my stock system... I am going to look into the magnaflow CBE and look at mine and think about it. I don't really know how we would trade, as I can't drive my car without an exhaust while waiting on the shipping. haha But let me know what you think.

MSP piping is the same diameter as the regular Protege/Protege5. I had an MSP midpipe in hand that would have bolted right up to my stock system.

To the OP....nice job. I remember seeing the car in person at the last NEPOC clean meet. I hope to see it this fall!

My mid-pipe is 2.5 lol. Ya i know, overkill. But it would bolt up to a stock system. It bolts up to a OBX header and stock catback currently.

you should maybe look into the RB exhaust with the cat, i thin thats what i am going to do.

What you keep saying about this RB exhaust with a cat? You mean cat back? A cat is catylitic converter. A catback exhaust goes from the 2nd cat all the way out the back of the car. This is why its called a catback. It doesn't have a Cat in it... The two oem cats are in the J-pipe and the mid-pipe.
