Orange Electronics TPMS Installed Today!!!!

Today I installed my new potenzas RE960 225/45/18 with a set of TPMS sensors from Orange Electronics. I bought the sensors from Tirerack for 180$. I am amazed how accurate the system works. You can actual value changes. The sensors also tell you the temperature of the tires and you can choose alert points for high low temperature as well as pressure. The display is multi color digit leds and very small and elegant. Settings including metric and standar units and tire rotation function. I believe is well worth the money. As of the potenzas I loved them. Very quiet. :) (thumb)

Here are some pictures. It displays PSI pressure and F temperature. I mounted there because it was easy to have access in the fuse box and easy to see without always be on the way.

The temperature in the tires varies from 38 PSI cold in the morning to 44 PSI after an hour on the highway. I live in Florida so the temperature is a bit high. In the highway temperature stays uniform all around same with pressure. The next step is to fill with nitrogen just two tires to see if it's any difference. If yes I will go for all four, if not I will keep using just normal air.

Yeap. The sensors are attached on the valve stems. Similar to most OEM. Life time of batteries are 7 years. You can buy from tirerack any parts in case you need a part or sensor. It takes about 10 sec on the start up to display information and communicate with the sensors. Then updates every 3 sec.

Do you think this is better than the Hella system? I was thinking of going with Hella because you can customize the LCD color to match OEM.
