how about a brillo pad? would that work too?
David may use them, I don't use those.

This is true. Santo's paint was in very good shape when he had me detail it for him.

What are your thoughts on Zymol David? I saw some at pepboys Sunday, and almost bought some. I was looking at some liquid compound to try to buff out a key mark that some a-hole gave me. It isn't that deep, but deep enough. I am goign to try to use the buffer tonight.
My dad used the Zymol on his BMW, and the results were pretty impressive. Halfway through the hood you could see the drastic contrast and how much brighter and vivid the colour (british racing green) was. I'll find out today how well it does on my car![]()
Sigh. Of course it is. Speaking of detailing and junk, what do you all use for soap for general washing?i wouldn't do it today. going to rain tonight and tomorrow.

as long as it's a car shampoo, you're fine. I've used expensive high end shampoo and stuff from the auto parts place, and I didn't notice a difference.
also, washing and waxing your car before it rains isnt such a bad idea like alot of you think.
rainwater for the most part is pure, and when the car is clean and waxed, the rainwater will either slide off when the car is driven, or will dry up and leave no residue behind. What leaves dirty water marks behind is the existing dirt on the paint that pools together when the water is on it.
However if you live in an area with hard rain water, this wont really work. I always wash my car before it rains so i dont get any dirty marks.
I ran mine through a coin op wash today at lunch, since I spent the time on Sun to clean it only to get it rained on and dirty on Monday.
I'm ok with that though. . .$2 was well worth it to me.

I know this thread is a little old but has anyone gone to the dealer about this? There is a corrosion warranty isn't there?
