hey , i was wondering is this possible into r p5s? and how would the fitment or electric part of it ? if ne one has more info plz let me know. its lighter then the klze and giving the same hp with the gtr being 190-210hp.

bpt?

if you're talking engine swap, nothing swaps into our cars easily. it'll take time, money, inginuity, oh, and did i mention money?

If you want more power from the car, swaps aren't teh way to go if you're on a budget

Either go with the stock MSP turbo setup, or start saving to build an N/A beast

Your best bet with this car is the basic bolt ons, intake, header, midpipe, and catback exhaust, then throw some sticky tires on it and stiffer springs

it'll take thousands and thousands of dollars to make this car straight line fast

I haven't really looked into it, but a bpt fits the same car that a kl v6 fits, that shares the fs engine with us. I'm sure it would fit easy enough, all you'd need to worry about is wiring (not too hard with OBD1 standalone)

bpt fits. its just a matter of doing full stand alone. which for power on the fsde you need anyway. plus then you never have to worry exploding it with a bad fsde because you have a freaking bpt. which is epic. i have actually pondered this swap quite a bit

all the same arguments apply to making kl motors fit/work so really if your gonna bother might as well go big. a bored out, built KL and boost is gonna slaaaaaaay

If it's any colsolation, xelderx successfully installed a P5's FSDE into a first gen Protege. Check out the Motorsports section.

But yes, a BP will fit into the P5. Just fab up a few mounts and work out the management.

Yep. I already have a BPT powered Protege(and a supercharged BP Miata) so I decided to go KL for my Protege5. :)

I believe engine mounts wouldn't even have to be fabbed. Just maybe the passenger side, and even then there's a good chance that by using parts from both cars, it'd fit. There is also a lot out there for engine management for the BPs, so it's definitely a feasible swap.
