Where to drill a hole for the amp power cable?

Sorry if I missed the answer elsewhere, I checked all the stickies and skimmed the rest of the thread titles..

As the thread title asks, where is a good spot on the firewall for me to drill a hole for the power cable? I'm running a 4ga. thru a Protege5 if it matters, TIA.

There's two spots: one above the dead pedal where there's a pretty big mess of wires and a grommet and another one sort above the heat vent on the passengers side. Might be easier to see them from the engine bay. I got 1/0 through the one one above the dead pedal and it's right near the battery, anyway.

No need at all to be drilling any holes.

Too late. I just spent 40 bucks at circuit city for the install guy to exactly that.

Oh well, but since I'm having the same question FoxPro5's post still helped someone.
I think I will route my power cable from the hole above dead pedal. How does the hole look like in the engine bay?
Maybe I will take a pic later today if I find it.

haha thats the exact rubber groument I was picturing. I used to use those at work at my last job all the time on base.
